Tendrils of darkness reached out, coiling around the chamber, seeking to ensnare them. Ethan, drawing his sword, charged forward, engaging the tendrils in a fierce battle. His blade, imbued with the light from the guardian warrior, cleaved through the darkness, momentarily severing its grasp. Maya, her connection to the key pulsating with power, focused on channeling the light within. A radiant beam erupted from the key, pushing back the darkness and momentarily illuminating the entity's true form. It was a grotesque amalgamation of shadow and malice, devoid of any recognizable form. A maw of pure darkness gaped within it, emitting the horrifying screech that assaulted their senses.

The entity. It wasn’t a physical form in the traditional sense, but a manifestation of pure, unadulterated darkness, a swirling vortex of shadows and whispers, a void that threatened to consume everything in its path. When I woke up, it was already dark outside.
