**In the Depths of Darkness** Esteria's consciousness drifted in a world of cold shadows, the icy tendrils of darkness tightening their grip around her soul. She could feel it, the malevolent force trying to consume her entirely, to drag her into an abyss from which there would be no return. Her breath came in ragged gasps, her strength ebbing away with each passing moment as the darkness clawed at her, relentless in its pursuit of her very essence. The void around her seemed alive, writhing with sinister intent. It whispered to her, voices that were neither human nor demon, echoing her deepest fears and regrets. *You are nothing...* they hissed. *You are weak... You will fail...*

Amber’s POV Darkness. Not the peaceful kind that soothes you into slumber, nor the gentle quiet that welcomed your body to rest. This darkness was something else—thick, painful, suffocating, and pressing in on me from all sides. The pain tugged me out of unconsciousness, pulling me back into my body with a dull, throbbing awareness. My limbs felt heavy, my skin felt raw, and there was an uncomfortable weight in my chest that seemed both familiar and foreign.

Everything went black before I could. I wasn’t sure how long I’d been out, but in the darkness, a strange feeling washed over me. It was cold, unnaturally cold, and the air felt thick, like it was pressing down on my chest, making it hard to breathe. My surroundings were indistinct, foggy almost, and I couldn’t tell where I was. There was something in the distance. A figure, standing in the shadows. I squinted, trying to focus, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t make out who or what it was.

Why did I let the past claw its way back in? The darkness grows thicker, heavier like I’m sinking into some viscous, black goo that clings to my skin, chilling me to the bone. It’s seeping into me, cold and relentless, filling the empty spaces inside with its icy touch. I try to move, to break free, but my limbs feel weighted, sluggish. My chest tightens, and I realize I’m panicking, my breaths coming faster, shallower, but it’s like trying to breathe through a wet cloth, and I can’t get enough air. The darkness presses closer, its silence broken only by those elusive voices, which seem to grow louder, harsher, and taunting.

Darkness. I felt like I was sinking, in a sea of darkness, getting deeper and deeper by the minute. I could see the light fade from above me as I went down further into the darkness, but I wasn't scared. It was almost a welcoming feeling. It felt peaceful. I felt peaceful. I felt free. Even though I was sinking I didn't feel like I was being dragged down, I felt light, like I was just floating in air, further away from the light.

I see nothing but darkness. My neck felt separated from my body. Fingers quivered. I groaned within. I rose my head immediately. The entire room was dark. The noise firm rebels went silent. My body felt weak. Soul weaker. The candles were already off. The air blew between the curtains. The life I had didn't feel real. Disappearance, betrayal and calamity. My legs wobbled touching the ground. It felt numb, thick no feelings. It swelled. I could hardly balance. I fidgeted.

The world slowly started to fade around me as I find myself slipping into darkness. **************** The air feels different, charged with an inexplicable tension. My body is heavy, each limb an anchor tethering me to the unknown. I attempt to open my eyes, but the effort feels monumental, and my eyelids remain stubbornly sealed. The world remains veiled, my surroundings existing as mere whispers in the darkness.

*DAY ONE* Darkness. Pitch black . Nothingness. Emptiness. Coldness. What are these feelings? Am I in hell? Is this what hell feels Ike? Never been burned before but I'm sure this is scarier than a fire burning with brimstone. The darkness is sickening. Frightening. I want to get out of it. I desperately want to run out through the closed doors that shut me out and away , into this world of nothingness. In the darkness, I searched desperately for the light switch. The lamp. A candle. Anything to light this place up and bring with it the warmth I need. There is no lamp. In the same darkness I search for the windows. Why is there no window?

I feel helpless, trapped in a cycle I can't seem to break. The room grows darker as evening approaches, but I make no move to turn on a light. The encroaching darkness seems to mirror my sinking emotions, each shadow deepening the pit of despair I've fallen into. It's as if the darkness is a physical manifestation of the gloom that has taken residence in my mind, creeping into every corner of the room and my psyche alike.

Alison’s POV Darkness wasn’t just the absence of light; it was an endless void. It felt like being submerged in a deep, inky ocean, weightless but suffocating. I had no sense of time, no idea if hours or days had passed. Sometimes, I thought I could hear faint echoes of voices, distorted like sounds traveling through water. They were fragments, disjointed and fleeting, but enough to make me desperate to respond. My mind screamed for my body to move, for my lips to part, but nothing happened. I was trapped in this abyss, locked within myself.
