The darkness pressed in around me. It was cold and tingled my skin. The darkness expanded outward. A figure stood at a distance. So far, it was only vaguely human-shaped. I squinted, but there was no light. I was standing in empty dreamspace, just like I had been when Isabell had called on me. Except this wasn't Isabell, it couldn't be. It didn't feel like her.

[Darkness] SIERRA Darkness. A dense, inky blackness that seemed to stretch into nothingness, unlike the usual moonless night. I couldn’t see a thing or hear a sound. Nothing to taste or smell other than darkness. Then panic gripped me, its frigid claws engulfing my body. My hands reached out, wanting to feel something—anything — but nothing was there. Nothing except emptiness and terror. The darkness seemed to go on indefinitely. That was when my worry transformed into full-fledged fear, and fear into unspeakable horror.

Darkness. That was the only thing I could think of when I came to my senses. I have been awake since an hour ago or so, but I stayed in my bed without opening my eyes. Darkness. Sometimes it’s not just something that you only see when you close your eyes or in other words that you can’t see anything in the absence of light but you could also feel it when there is no light in your life. I kept my eyes closed to see the darkness clearly so that I didn’t have to feel it. It awaits just behind the veil of my closed eyelids to engulf me as a whole.

Jayla Darkness engulfs me. It is the same kind of darkness one would have witnessed during a long sleep, or even death. But surpringly, we never feel that darkness. Maybe because there are dreams and colourful motivations that keeps us from observing this darkness. That keeps us from falling into the trap of its calmness. It feels good being like that. In oblivion, in emptiness, without any worry, without any fear. It is just me here. There is no one to bother me, no one to hurt me. I can even float in this abyss of nothingness forever and ever.

Nina’s POV Darkness. Heavy, suffocating darkness. That was where I was, where my body had fallen, where my soul felt stuck. It was endless, like I was floating in a cold void where time didn’t exist. There was no sound, no warmth, only the pounding of my own heart echoing in my head. For a moment, I thought this was death, that I had finally crossed into the nothingness people fear.

Yada woke from the dream to strange sounds echoing through her skull. The green and red lights had been replaced by total darkness. She sat up slowly holding the side of her head. She felt like a Mack truck had run through her eyes and was certain if she opened her mouth to scream her brain would fall free. She moved, feeling her way in the dark. Yada found an edge and leaned down to guess the depth. She felt nothing. "I wouldn't do that," the sound of a man's voice scared her.

She just saw this bright light with no color at all. It was like an open flame, burning through everything it touched. In fact, it was like that for every inch in sight around her. Everything was covered in this light so dark it felt like a black hole swallowing everything up, not allowing her to see, only feel. The darkness kept coming closer and closer with every second as if it would swallow her whole, devour her until there wouldn’t be anything left but dust and ashes. It filled her ears with the hum of electricity, made her skin buzz and sweat.

The sound of nothingness rangout through the darkness that was endless in all directions. The longer I stood in one place I could feel the coldness of the dark seeping into my bones as the feeling of thousands of little needle pricks tingled over my skin leaving it numb. Breathing in deeply I let my mind linger on the silence around me. But I am left with the bitter taste of emptiness on the tip of my tongue. Thoughts whirled in and out spreading like a wildfire wondering if I had met an untimely death, by the darkness taking me as I slept. No, this one was thicker, heavier, and depressing like the world had collapsed and left me floating in nothing but a void of space. I could feel emotions, could run and walk, but those meant nothing when I was stuck in this nothingness, with no sense of direction or where to go. I don’t know how long I have been here.
