"My grandmother told me from childhood that there is a terrible evil lurking in the dark, so I should beware of the darkness... So I have always been afraid of the dark. I always came home before dusk and asked my mother not to turn off the light in my room. Then she would light a candle for me and put it on the bedside table next to my bed to save electricity. I stared at that flame and felt safe, as if some invisible force hidden within that flame was watching over me, protecting from all evil. However, the darkness caught me then in my dreams, it lurked, hiding in its depths overgrown creatures with huge teeth, long claws and wild eyesight. Chased by these terrible creations of my childho

He tried closing his eyes but it did no comfort. “Sinners go to hell, but people like you will succumb into darkness. Forever.” Damien’s voice echoed the in darkness. He usually hated the demon’s voice but now it brought sudden comfort. “Liked the little tour?” Damien asked after he lets go of Chris. The human catches his breath. That place and feeling is very suffocating. The demon disappeared without notice while Chris ended up in the couch. His knees are trembling so hard. He doesn’t have any word for that place except fear.

’’ Lucas was about to ask another question where the lady came in, saying ‘’Sorry to disturb ma'am, there is a man at the counter saying he is your husband, should I send him in? ‘’Umm sure, thank you’’, I replied. Wasn't he supposed to be at his office? ‘’Well I guess someone is not too busy after all and definitely not spending time with his girlfriend’’, Lucas said. The door opened again but this time, Rowan came through the door, wearing his dark suit and sunglasses. He looked hot but I wish he was mine, truly mine but that would stay a dream. ‘’Did you find the perfect cake yet?’’, I think he saw me drooling over him.

No matter what you call this power that watches over you - God, fate or something else - this power watches over you, loves you and wants your happiness, but also must be sure that you will not doubt it when the dark times come. Friends, let yourself be carried away by the power of love, never doubt it, and somewhere along the way you will feel the true happiness that only love can give you. It is love that will keep you in the power of the Light, protecting from the dirty claws of Darkness.
