“Tavuwa.” Miao Shan was a spell that would put the target to sleep. While sleeping, the energy lost and the wounds obtained would slowly be restored or healed. The only downside was during the slumber, the target would be vulnerable. However, Talia’s Tavuwa spell was a protective spell. “How is it?” asked Talia to Soleyah who had just shifted back to her human form and was now running without breaking the echelon array. “Offense is the best defense they said. But I had barely closed my eyes when Mara gently shook me awake. “Astrid… a warrior just came. Luna Aliyah wants you right now in the Alpha’s chambers.” My heart sank. Talon Avery paced back and forth in front of the school library. His tense posture and scowling expression kept friend and foe at bay, though it didn't deter any from keeping track of his every move. When a lethal weapon was barely contained, it paid to be on the alert, and damn near everyone on campus was aware that Talon was about to blow his top and unleash his infamous temper on all and sundry. His voice is heavy with unrestrained emotion when he speaks. "If you're going after Malachai and the rest of them, I want in. I'm coming to." Everyone stares at him with wary eyes. "Are you sure about this?" Lucian asks cautiously. "Those bastards took something very important from me. Something that wasn't theirs to take. I want to make them pay. I want to watch the life drain from their eyes as I end them... I'm sure."

“Get me out of here.” Zane’s voice cut through the moment, a silken growl that sent a chill down Kevin’s spine. “Not so fast, Talon,” he said, stepping from the shadows near the throne, his amber eyes glinting with menace. His shaved head gleamed, his claw-mark tattoos stark against his pale skin, and he wore a sleeveless black tunic, his claws extended, sharp and black. Rhea was at his side, her jet-black hair braided tight, her cruel smile a slash of white, her dagger in hand. Behind them, a dozen Black Shadow wolves emerged, their amber eyes glowing, their snarls a chorus of death.

Alfonso tried as much as possible to make sure his tone sounded neutral. Talon huffed and puffed, finally seeing he had no choice. “I’ll race you to the clearing, let's see which of us has gotten slower.” Talon waited for Alfonso to tuck his clothes under the tree. They both shifted into their wolves. Talon was considered evil by Madelyn, but his wolf’s fur begged to differ. Talon’s fur was brown, with gray patches on it. His eyes were bloodshot red — Alpha eyes and when the moonlight reflected in them you could see the rings of gold around it.

He was a living mist, a swirl of translucent currents, accompanied by the faint hum of distant storms. Opposite him stood Aeoron, the god of wind. Towering and radiant, Aeoron’s presence was sharp and commanding, his form glowing in brilliant blue, emanating raw power. Aeoron’s voice cut through the air. “Have you been keeping track of your Windax?” Ielus chuckled as a small gust spiraled around him. “A little essence has been taken, Aeoron. I know that’s what you want to tell me. But it’s just a little.”

Conrad patted the older man on the back, and I opened my mouth, staring at them in shock. "A hundred? You know him?" I asked, blinking my eyes several times. "Starfish, let me introduce you to an old friend of mine and Maddox's." Conrad extended his hand towards me, and I took it. "Chief Talon of the Frostfire Clan." The man bowed and struck his chest. "This is my mate, Mackenzie Thoreau, and our little warrior, Fireball." Conrad introduced us, and I bowed as well. Fireball roared without moving from my side.

Holus protect us all, it was a disaster never been seen at all. “We can’t stay here much longer,” Falstad said. The groans of the undead grow nearer, and there will be no way out once everyone has turned. “Arthur!” He shouted, and there came Lieutenant Arthur. “Commander?” Arthur asked. “Take six of your men to hold off the undead here whilst we leave with the princess.
