My heart was racing like crazy, and I couldn't shake off the lingering terror from the dream. I sat up in bed, trying to calm myself down and get my breathing under control. But those memories from that messed-up night kept haunting me, like some kind of bad movie on repeat.

And then, with a jolt that sent me reeling, I woke up. I sat up abruptly, drenched in cold sweat, my heart pounding so hard it felt like it might burst from my chest. My hands trembled as I pushed my hair away from my face, my breath coming in ragged gasps. The room was dark, the only light coming from the faint glow of the clock on the nightstand. Midnight.

“Why did you have to let her go?” The night is more difficult to understand and get through, my head explodes when the moon rises while my heart is beating fast. I can't help but wonder, why is my heart beating so much? I know it may be tachycardia, but I don't have any heart problems, I can't have this problem since I am very healthy and young.

The sound of her laugh echoed in my ears as I plummeted. I woke up with a jerk, my heart pounding against my chest. Sweat clung to my skin, soaking the pillow beneath me. I sat up quickly, running a hand through my damp hair, trying to shake off the feeling of falling. My chest heaved as I took in a deep breath, trying my best to calm my racing heart. It was just a dream. But it didn’t feel like just a dream. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand, squinting at the screen. 4:00 a.m. Great. I sighed and pushed the covers off, my body still trembling a little. There was no way I was going back to sleep after that.

I woke up this morning feeling more exhausted than when I had gone to bed. My heart was still racing from last night's events and it felt like I hadn't slept at all. His evil glinting face still floated it my memory, haunting and reliving memories I didn't want to remember.

Jenny also screamed while crying. She woke up in a panic breathing heavily and sweating profusely. She was dripping wet with sweat. She took the glass of water that was lying on the bedside table and gulped it in one go. Her heart was still beating very fast. She felt like she was going to have a heart attack.

The dream slips through my grasp like sand, leaving me jolted awake, gasping for air. I find myself sitting up in bed, my body drenched in a cold sweat, my legs trembling uncontrollably. My heart races as I take in my surroundings, trying to ground myself in reality. I take a deep breath, covering my face with my hands, trying to steady my racing thoughts.

The fluorescent lights overhead are blindingly bright, and the sound of water running is becoming overwhelming. I can feel sweat gathering on the back of my neck and the palms of my hands.

I asked myself, feeling uncomfortable. Troubled by the sudden aura engulfing me, I rushed back into the mansion, aiming for my room. "I must be tired. All I need is a bed rest and I'll be fine," I assumed, getting closer to my room. Quickly, I rushed into my bedroom, which was a bit dark, and shut the door from behind. I sat on my bed, trying to get myself under control. "Why is my heart racing so fast?" I observed, hearing how my heartbeat was pounding like crazy.

Fear washes over me as it lunges toward me. “AARRGGHH!” I scream as I wake myself. Sitting up in bed I pinch my brow, another nightmare. My dreams have been erratic lately. I’m not sure why but it’s getting exhausting. I lay back down trying to calm my racing heartbeat. Beep beep beep and there’s my alarm. 7am, right on time.
