He pushed it open. Violet was not at her desk. She was perched on the edge of it, one leg crossed over the other, the tight black dress riding high on her thigh. She had poured two glasses of amber liquid from a bottle of whiskey he recognized as expensive. The harsh overhead light was off; the only illumination came from a green-shaded desk lamp, casting the room in deep shadows and pools of warm light. It softened her edges, but did nothing to dim the intensity in her eyes. “Close the door,” she said, her voice a low, smooth command.

A few minutes later, ivory frowned; she saw a red dot fast approaching in front of the blue dot. ‘Uhm Anita what does a red dot mean’ ivory asked anxiously. ‘A red dot, it means a creature is fast approaching, you guys better hide’ Anita replied. Natasha noticing ivory’s frown asked. ‘Ivory what’s the matter’? ‘A creature’s fast approaching, we better hide’ ivory says out loud. ‘A creature, how do you know that’ Chevy asked with a frown ‘and even if a creature is fast approaching we can kill it’.

It was late at night when Xavier left the Ziegler residence and returned to his own residence. In front of the black ornate gate, a white car was parked, and the person behind the wheel—someone he would recognize even from a mile away—was none other than Violet. He eased the black Bentley to a stop, rolled down his car window, then turned to Violet and asked, "What do you want from me, Violet?" Violet got out of her car, walked over to the black Bentley, opened the passenger-side door, and slid into the front passenger seat.

The remaining sanity in me snapped and I didn’t wait. I marched toward him, and without thinking, slapped him hard across the face. The entire corridor behind him gasped.
