Vivien trailed off and they shifted their gaze upon the bunny. "That's the Black Shaol," Chloe finished for them. "Eh?" Marjien couldn't believe her ears. How can this cute bunny be something dangerous that killed so many living in Diana Province?

Before I could answer the tunnel behind us exploded in a flash of white light and a voice filled with sickeningly familiar cruelty called from the shadows.

I couldn’t feel my arms anymore and my head spun around. “Why are you stopping?” I heard someone bark. I tried to walk but I couldn’t. My eyes felt heavier, my vision thinned as a shrill sound rang in my ears. I reached for something… anything to hold, but my body gave out and I crumpled. Voices filtered back first, then soft light and then the dull ache in my head. When my eyes pried open, Clover’s face hovered above mine.
