[Arielle’s POV] My eyes shone while looking at the treasures that the Seven-Headed Hydra surrendered. There were all kinds of treasures—spiritual fruits, weapons, essence crystals, magic crystal balls, refining materials, gold, and gems. Most of the treasures were shiny and glittering. Well, it’s true that all creatures like shiny things the most—especially dragons. That includes me, of course! Who doesn’t like shiny things?

Each step feels like I'm floating, carried by a mixture of anticipation and disbelief. Carefully, I peel back the paper, revealing a simple cardboard box underneath. My fingers tremble as I lift the flaps, parting them to reveal the contents. I can't help but gasp when I see what's inside. Nestled amidst a bed of soft tissue paper is a beautifully crafted necklace. The pendant is a shiny crystal-like hazel stone, its facets catching the light and casting shimmering reflections. There seem to be browns, greens, and light shades of gold in the stone, and I can't help but be mesmerized by it. It's an intriguing color that seems familiar to me, but I can't seem to put my finger on where I've see

"S-Second wife?" Caelia’s voice faltered as she swallowed the pit of nausea rising in her throat. Her heart pounded painfully, as though trying to escape her chest. Surely, she’d misheard. The cover had an embossed phoenix on it, and a few gems in gold settings to highlight some details. Ash had done some research on the stones as they had intrigued him, the eye was a fire agate, red and orange with hints of green. The tail feathers had a stone in the centre of each of them, either fire opals, red with a hint of iridescence. Or ‘Dragon’s Breath Opals’, red with hints of blue in the right light. While these were made of glass, they were possibly the most interesting stones. They were all beautiful and made the whole book look very impressive.

It showed a raw rock, matte and opaque, glowing a deep, interior purple as if lit from within. “What… what is this?” Imani asked, leaning forward, breathless. The chunk of stone, opaque and faintly shimmering violet, pulsed on the screen as if alive. “That’s not gold,” Jade murmured, her voice trembling with fascination. “It’s something else entirely.” “It’s beautiful,” Imani whispered. “Dangerous is beautiful sometimes,” Jade replied, zooming in closer. “Celestium,” she read out, her voice barely a whisper. Imani reached out, her fingertips brushing the holographic image as if she could feel its texture.
