Rolling my eyes, I turn to look at the car. He lowers the window and a smirk pulls up at the corner of his lips, “ The car won't start?Need some help?” He jokes and I throw him a hard glare. “Nothing personal. I just wanted to wish your boyfriend good luck in today's hockey opening game.” He says with a shrug and I raise an eyebrow at him because I don't believe him. He's on a rival team with my boyfriends. “Perhaps…you can remind him that HAWKS have a sharp vision and they usually keep a close eye on their prey. And they can be fierce too.”

Hawks are actually one of their greatest predators. As the battle begins, the kestrel climbs straight to Ishir’s cage. He makes a point of growling and swiping at her, but I can see her moving around the cage, telling him something. The hawk actually looks like it’s trying to get to her, but Ishir really does swipe at him, knocking him into the stands. Ishir says something to the kestrel, and she climbs over to me, using the metal bars that we are hanging from. Ishir takes a final swipe at the hawk, knocking it down enough that the kestrel makes it to me.

He may have to bow out of the bet to get a proper feed. “Of course, sorry. I thought you’d like to know Hana Yashida here. She is at DKE for the party with her roommate. They are with Vice President Malcolm.” Harris explained. I sat up straight. Harris had my full attention. Hana was at DKE. That alone would be worrying. Her at any drunken party would concern me. But we helped found DKE as a place specifically for the hybrids of the supernatural world. It’s the same at every university where DKE is present. And I know Malcolm is a cambion, a hybrid demon, and idolizes Aidan. If Malcolm isn’t planning to make a move for himself, I would put money on him by calling Aidan, as Harris called me.

Crash! The sound of wood splintering echoed through the market. Carrie whipped her head around. "What was that?" Dean immediately stepped in front of her, blocking her view of the groaning man in the pile of smashed crates. "Nothing," Dean said quickly, pointing at a roof. "Look! A blue-tailed hawk. Very rare." Carrie whipped her head away in an instant, but the smile hovering on her lips vanished when she saw the empty roof. "I-I don't see anything."

Drake growled. Suddenly, his eyes turned red; he was fuming mad as he transformed. He runs towards the rouge, who transforms into a werewolf and mercilessly scratches his back. He wasn’t contented; he attacked the rouge, and then Drake beheaded the rouge until it transformed into a human, lying on the ground, lifeless. They fought the other rouge and howled angrily. “That’s for poisoning my stray!” Drake gritted his teeth as he beheaded them all. Beta Dillon picked up the poison's antidote and gave it to the alpha.

Hawk threw him to the ground, sinking his teeth into his shoulder before tossing him like discarded prey. The walls cracked as Hawk’s claws raked through them, the destruction wild and unrelenting. Furniture splintered beneath his weight, debris raining down as the basement transformed into a war zone. The once-smug laughter of his tormentors gave way to panicked shouts and the frantic clatter of boots scrambling for any exit. Hawk moved through the chaos like a force of nature, every swing of his massive arms sending bodies and debris flying. The primal satisfaction of their fear only fueled him further.

Becca's POV I saw myself running. Running from Adams and his sick game. I could hear my heart pounding in my chest, my eyes wide and my legs moving as fast as they could. I heard, rather than saw, the arrow whiz past me and lodge in a tree bark. The woods was too big! I would never get to the road on time. "Seven!" he yelled. I had played hide and seek countless times and I knew it wasn't played this way. Somehow, Adams had twisted my favorite game into something deadly.

I left no room for debate. "Like hell am I going to hide like some pussy." Kenz scoffed. "Kenz..." I started but was cut off by a growl. I turned to see about ten wolves approaching the stage, their mouths dripping with saliva. Before I could get another word out, they charged the stage. "GET THEM OUT OF HERE!" I ordered before shifting into Hawk. Hawk left off the stage and met the first wolf head on before tearing his throat out. As we were about to go after another, we saw Koa, Mason's wolf take out another.

"Can you describe this woman?" "Um- I don't think so, I didn't really study her, but she had a tattoo on her wrist, I uh- It was like a- bird with an arrow." "The Hawks." Davy's voice resounded from behind me. The police man looked towards his direction. "I'm detective Davy Jones." Davy said as he earned a weird look from the police officer. Davy ignored it... "The Hawks are a remote group. Their logo was a bird with an arrow."

Everyone present in the ballroom gathered around to take pictures and praise it. Once it got enough of the attention, it flew from mom's hands and settled down back on my shoulder. Hawks are known to be carnivorous hunters and very big in shape and size. “Woah, what am amazing sound it makes” everyone gushed as it quietly settled down on my shoulder. “Have you had enough?” I spoke to him softly. It looked at me for few seconds before once again focusing on everything else. “Mom, do you need any help with the preparations?” I asked.
