"You think a few scratches will stop progress?" Sterling’s voice came through the suit’s speakers, distorted and tinny. "You’re just animals. Both of you. Romantic, dying animals."
Demetrius stood up, pulling me behind him. He was weak, I could see his legs trembling, but his shoulders were square. He was protecting me even when he could barely stand.
