The demons eat the meat while the vampires drink the animal’s blood. Hector sits and watches them all. Then the barrel of alcohol is brought out and everyone starts to drink. Hector takes a drink of the alcohol. He is given one that is doctored with blood. He can taste it, but he knows it makes it so he can feel some effects of the warm drink. Ruby and Ash sit by him.

Priestess Elara came to me with a small cup filled with a dark green liquid and motioned for me to drink from it. “It does not look good, what the hell is that?” I asked. “It is to give you strength alpha, you are going to need it,” she said and urged me to drink from it. The crystal glasses were ice cold and the liquid smelled strongly of alcohol. They both took a sip at the same time, it burned as it made its way down their throats. Layla liked it, it made her feel like she was alive. Tabitha was not a fan and began coughing. Solomon slung back the drink in one go and encouraged the cousins to do the same.
