The Mark Of Orathyn

The Mark Of Orathyn

"These weren't carved." Lucien joined him. "They were drawn." Rough sketches covered the stone—animals, trees, little stick figures holding hands. Near the bottom, someone had drawn a family standing beneath a large moon. "A child did these," Astrid said. Finn crouched for a closer look. "I think you're right." He pointed at one corner. "See how the lines wander?" "They kept coming back to add more." Lucien brushed a little dust from the wall, careful not to touch the drawings themselves. "Nobody erased them."

The wife he left behind

The wife he left behind

“I think the seven year old who drew that house, the one with the figures standing outside it. I think she might have been Eleanor Whitfield’s daughter. Your great great grandmother.” The line was silent for a long moment. “I don’t understand,” Priya said slowly. “I thought the drawing was from my other side. The Combewood side. The box with the address.” “I think it might be both,” Dave said gently, leaning toward the phone. “I think the drawing isn’t just connected to one family. I think it might be the thing that connects all of them. Like it was drawn by someone who somehow already knew, a hundred years before any of us did, that all these separate families were actually one family that

Gen YA
The storyline is good but I hope the author should refrain from so many redundant repetitive words, dialogues, side thoughts, actions of the characters, which are becoming an annoyance, tiresome to read further, just be direct with the story.
Araceli Rocio
Chapter 32 and I cannot stop. A very young boy deciding to find everyone the world forgot, it sounds simple until you’re actually reading it and realising how profound it is. Dave doesn’t feel like a fictional child. He feels completely real. And every chapter ends right, this book is amazing!!!

Two Mates and A Descendant

Two Mates and A Descendant

I mask my mood because this is supposed to be a fun time for us. “What will you draw?” “I want to try to draw you. If I get it right, will you hang it up on your wall?” Ethan asks, and I find myself trying to hide a blush. How can he say things like that with a straight face? “Yeah, but only if it’s that beautiful. I’m not hanging what looks like pups art on my wall.” I giggle and he nods. “Challenge accepted.” Challenge accepted? Is he actually going to try to draw me? How skilled does he think he is to want to attempt this?

Her Second Chance Mate

Her Second Chance Mate

I grew up in a loving family that cared about each other, and I find myself grateful for that. "But what are we going to do about this when she provided so little information?" Malcolm complained, his face in a grimace as he looked at the note she had written. "Luckily, I know her daughter. We have had a lot of run-ins, and I think I should be able to sketch her." I may not be the Leonardo da Vinci of the human world, but I could draw pretty well, and now that skill is going to be of great use. I picked up the sketch pad lying underneath some books, but before that, I closed my eyes, trying to visualise the girl. I picked up a pencil as I saw the image clearly before me, and I began to sketc

What was that about? I stared down at the drawing in my hand once more and I noted how Carter had drawn long canines elongating from the wolf's mouth. The drawing clearly showed it was not a dog but a wolf. “Why don't you kids go play with uncle Ethan while I go show these beautiful drawings to daddy?” I suggested. “But I want to show daddy mine,” Penelope pouted and I pinched her cheeks. “We'll go show daddy together later alright?” I told her and that seemed to satisfy her. The children ran off and I stared down at the drawings one last time before I headed towards Mr. Ford's office.

The Perfect Wife Walked Away

The Perfect Wife Walked Away

I unfolded it. It was a drawing in crayon and marker, the way first-graders drew — bright, flat, full of feeling. Two almost sticklike figures, one tall and one small. The tall one had brown hair and a white coat. The small one had a yellow dress and orange boots. They were holding hands. Above them, in large, uneven letters: ME AND MOMMY. In the corner, small and neat compared to the rest: I miss you — C I didn't say anything. I couldn't.

My Shadow Mate

My Shadow Mate

Twenty minutes later, I’m sitting in the living room with my sandwiches, a tall glass of milk, the TV on, serving as background noise, and my drawing pad and pencil in hand. I don’t know how long I sit there drawing, only taking breaks to use the washroom, but eventually I finish drawing Remus, which is surprisingly difficult, not because there aren’t many features to draw, but because there aren’t many features to draw. I try to make it feel as real as I can, as detailed as possible, and try to paint a picture of his personality through the drawing. And don’t get me started on the shading. I feel like my fingers might fall off by the time I actually finish, but I realize this is probably my

The Moon Goddess' Sins [BL]

“Destin, where are you?” Jade called his daughter. “Here,” a small voice answered. Jade walked into the living room and saw his daughter lying on the floor scribbling on paper. Jade crouched down and looked at the drawing his daughter made and asked, “What demons are you drawing?” Destin’s head snapped up and she glared at him and said, “Daddy it not monster, it my papa.” “Urgh,” Jade sighed as he got up and picked Destin up as well and grumbled, “It looks like a damn octopus, not a wolf my child.”

It was meant to be him

It was meant to be him

Kabir asked, placing his hands gently on Kavish's shoulders. Kavish looked up, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'm making a family drawing, Daddy! See!" He proudly turned the paper toward Kabir, revealing a colorful array of bear-like figures, each one distinctly different in size. Above each bear, he had written names with arrows pointing to their respective figures: Edhaa, Kavish, Mumma, and Daddy. Kabir's heart swelled with warmth as he took in the artwork. "Wow! Breaking all the crockery kind of helped, huh?" he chuckled, a smile spreading across his face.

I Turned Gay After A Drunken Night

Mia replied, and she brought out a beautiful painting that was above average. “Oh, it's nice. Seems you're multi-talented” The boys praised her and continued to chat among themselves. Mason snorted while pointing at Philip and Craig's drawing, his expression, and tone filled with nothing but mockery as the boys continued to jest themselves. “What were you thinking? Did you just draw an amoeba?” “I bet the artist you showed must have laughed to death.” Caleb chirped in, laughing silently. “Stop laughing.” Craig chided and pointed at Mason's drawing of a dinosaur while having a feigned complicated expression on. “Look at that; I was wondering what the hell you had just drawn. Worse than amoeba
