Gabriel (POV) After throwing money down on the table I ran out to follow Alana. As soon as I got outside, she was gone. I began walking and began to use the bond to feel for her. Only I felt nothing. I know I should be feeling something unless something has happened to her. At this point, I was at a loss, but I cannot give up. This bond has proven to me I was right all along. Alana is my one true mate, and I will not lose her. I felt bad to have kept the truth from her that what we have is a dragon bond that happens between mates. When Steven handed her the books, she placed them in her ring and right after they got out of the library she told him that she would like to go and buy more clothes and shoes. If she were to accompany them into the forest, she would need more appropriate clothing, especially if they were to fight magic beasts and dig up magic herbs. So he took her to a store where she could buy everything she needed and she soon realized the difference between the value of things that normal humans bought and those that were related to warriors and mages.
