Throughout the rest of the day we all stayed indoors because of the snowy weather. Around four in the evening, Pete, Iyvonne and I were beginning to get bored so we devised a back plan and snuck out of the house through the back door to go build a snow man. Trust me,it was really fun. After building our snowman,we noticed that something was missing. A nose! The snowman had no nose. I snuck back into the house through the back door and into the kitchen stole three carrots mom had bought for the next day's food preparation and ran back to our hideout. I was so careful to avoid being seen.

That brat! “Aunt pretty, wait for me!” Nicholai followed her. I sucked my breath and glanced at Blue. She’s still looking at me but not glaring anymore. I smiled sweetly and kissed her cheek. “Do you wanna build a snowman, baby?” She hit my chest and laughed. “Crazy! What snowman are you talking about? I heard Logan’s waiting for you in the bar.” I shook my head and kissed her neck. “He can wait. My little snowman can’t.”

“Do you wanna hide from this guy?” The tune was familiar, and it only took me a moment to place it. It was from that famous Disney movie, the one with the woman who could freeze stuff. Elsa, that was her name. The movie was Frozen. The tune he was using was from the Uber popular song, “Do you wanna build a snowman?” He repeated the first line, then he added another. “Do you wanna hide from this guy? Or do you wanna talk it through? I’m sorry if….if I did something…to upset you.” He held the last note ‘you’, entirely off-key and for way too long. He sounded sort of like a dog howling.

**Jade POV** It was snowing outside. Enchanted, I looked out my bedroom window, clutching my favorite dolly close to me. It was dinner time, and I knew I should be headed downstairs, or Mom and Dad would come up to find me and be disappointed I wasn’t washed up and ready to eat, but I just couldn’t help myself. I loved watching fresh snowfall on the ground, I loved trying to see if it would stick or not so I could build snowmen with Daddy. We would build snowman armies on days when the snow was deep enough to have an ample supply. We’d pretend to battle them, and he’d show me real fighting moves he’d used to take down bad guys before, all while we could see mom watching us in the kitchen win

CHAPTER 3 The Snow Lie Elena's POV I stayed awake beside him, still in deep shock as he slept soundly like a baby. He turned his head slightly, showing how much he was enjoying his sleep. I had a lot of questions in my head. Too many that I didn't know where to begin with. “Damon…” I finally whispered his name, testing my ability to still hold a conversation. My voice was low, and very tentative, almost a whisper. “Do you… do you even care... about what you just said?”

"We can make a snowman. A proper one. With a carrot nose." "And cookies for buttons," Lily said. "And cookies for us," I said. We built the snowman together, and it was lopsided and perfect, and Lily put my scarf around its neck and Rook put his hat on its head, and Mrs Kowalski took a picture with her phone and said that she was sending it to Helen so Helen would know we were behaving. Rook told her to send it to Tara too, so Tara would know that he could build something that was not a penalty box.

"Nah, nothing has happened recently. I'm telling the truth." Nathaniel smiled faintly and circled his arms tighter around her while answering her. "Therefore, Mango felt that she was warm all over. As she looked at the snow outside, she smiled and said, ""I feel like going out and build a snowman. Haha! We can also throw snowballs.""" "No, I don't think your body can take that." Nathaniel refused her request flatly. "Mango pouted in reply, but Nathaniel did not bulge."

The season is winter. “Yeah, I'm coming.” “Be careful, Wifey! You might fall. It's slippery!” Lucas yelled, who was there with Iris and Luke. “Instead of worrying, why don't you come here and lend me a hand? It's dangerous, right?” “You need help?” I rolled my eyes heavenwards. Does that even require to be asked? He could see that I was struggling to step closer to them. Why are the snowmen they made so far from our house?

I need to decide whether to sell it or rebuild, but I’m leaning more towards rebuilding. I don’t want the first place I felt at home to be left as a bad memory. I want to start anew and build a life together with Adrian, Hailey and this new baby, in a space that was built by us from the ground up. I just haven't decided if I'm fully ready yet. “So, where are we going?” I asked when I noticed we were heading in the opposite direction of Taco Bell. “Somewhere special,” he smirks at me, reaching over and caressing my knee.

Was about to shout but saw the familiar face and looked at him with a blank face. "You can't act like a human for once?" I asked sarcastically and as expected he shook his head with cheeky smile. "Is it necessary to hunt me down like this and what is this? Where did you pull me?" I said looking around in the small tent that we all built together. "Isn't it comfortable?" He asked and I nodded with a smile. "It's ours." He said smiling widely and I raised a brow at him. "I already saw it and I built it." I said telling him that I know.
