Samael was swift enough to dodge Hunter’s attacks – even though he was bleeding and so, that created a chance for Bobson and Alpha Hudson to get Luna Hera out of his hold. Hunter dodged another attack – but the rogues immediately came and blocked him. He took an abrupt stop – as he humped backwards. He took a side glance at his parents now.

This close, the Dine could not dodge, but Hunter also could not generate enough velocity to do any real damage, but it did hit the Dine in the gut and brought him up short. Hunter put some distance between them and scooped up another handful of stones and began slinging them hard and fast. The Dine ducked, dodged, and blocked with raised arm and hand. Hunter lands on the creature and it skids across the court yard before coming to a stop a few feet away from the hellfire, we grip it at the back of the throat and it cries out in pain, the guard shift and begin attacking as the creature is trying to shake Hunter off, it bucks but Hunter tightens his grip on it.

I said in a deep, raspy voice. He growled and sprinted my way, pushing a soldier out of his path. I did the same and ran. His eyes were frantically searching my face from afar. He seemed to assess if I was real or not. Halfway over to me, he was hit by an arrow on his left shoulder and tumbled to the ground. Xander wriggled as he transformed back into a human. His naked body spasmed in pain. The arrow tips must have had silver in them. I turned around, following where the arrow had been shot and saw the hunter who killed Diana. He was preparing another arrow. I roared in a fury and quickened my pace. I needed to get to Xander before that bastard nocked and shot a fatal arrow.

I shouted. A fresh squad of contract hunters had reached the upper rampart from the south tower. Unlike the royal guards, these men carried heavy combat shotguns loaded with silver-dust canisters and pressurized netting launchers. They did not care about capturing anyone alive anymore. They were here to clean the field. The lead hunter raised his launcher, aiming directly at the tangled mass where Dante and Adrian were still tearing at each other on the lower ledge. "Dante!" He hit the ground without a sound. The second mercenary heard the dull impact and spun around, his hand already moving toward the rifle hanging from his shoulder. I closed the distance in two strides. My left hand caught the barrel of his weapon and shoved it upward as my knee drove hard into his groin. He doubled over with a breathless gasp. I brought my elbow across his jaw, sending him crashing onto his back beside the truck's rear tire. "Hey!" the man with the electronic tablet shouted from the top of the ramp. "What the hell—"

Hello faithful readers. How do you do? I have been incognito for a while due to some hardware issues with my computer but I have found a way around that thanks to God.
