The reply from the other end of the line came quickly. “Oh, Mr. Jenson, we’re so glad to finally get in touch with you. We regret to inform you that Luanne was killed in the line of duty. You’re the emergency contact listed in her file, so if you have the time, please come down to the station.” A loud buzzing sound exploded in Greg’s brain, as if countless sharp needles were piercing through his mind simultaneously. The intense pain made his vision go dark. Yet, the voice on the other end, sounding like a demon to him now, continued, “Luanne’s funeral service is being organized by her close friend, Mr. Frank Cosmo. If you’d like to help out, you can get in touch with him.”

I'm so not going to spare her when I finally lay my hands on her. "Boss!" My underboss came in "What is it?" I asked as calmly as I could "You need to calm down boss, it's bad news" he said slowly "Bad news? What are you talking about? Spill it now before I slit your throat!" I screamed when he was wasting time "Eric is dead! He took his own life when he was being pressured to say the truth" he said making me stagger backwards Eric is dead? How is this even possible? I saw him few hours ago right? I might not have made Eric my underboss but he's still the one I love the most.

Jair staggered across the room on his hands and feet as his blood stained Eric's shirt and hands. "Is not!" Jair squealed. "Is not!" His hand reached behind Eric, trying to pull him off of him. Eric moved the knife to Jair's side, his body sliding across Jair's sweat and blood. He closed his eyes and listened to Jair's dying sobs until he collapsed to the floor. Eric held his position for a minute…waiting. Nothing. He loosened his arm around Jair's neck and one last thin breath escaped him. Jair is dead.

Blake said, agitated over Eric’s casual demeanor over the loss of life from his platoon. “Blake, I’m the conductor of this symphony, the coordinator of this scenario. Everything is in my control, even the life or death of you____ and____ Sara; I’m looking you in the eyes, Blake, and goodbye, sister.” Eric said, and two red dots were seen on their chests.

Then, with the last of his strength, he whispered, "...My mate." Lucas froze. "...What?" Eric smiled weakly. "I finally..." "...found you." His hand slipped from Lucas's cheek. His eyes slowly closed. His body went completely limp in Lucas's arms. "Eric!" Lucas shook him gently, panic flooding his voice. "Eric, wake up!" There was no response. Only the slow, peaceful rhythm of his breathing. The room fell silent. Lucas looked up in confusion. "...What did he mean?" "My..."

I gasped, clutching his arms tightly as I'm running out of breathe, coughing continuously and feel on my knees. "Cai, we have to keep going." Eric said as he tried to lift me up but before I could stand on my feet, a fast waves of air flash on me, sending me flying, my back meets a brick wall that makes me cough erratically. "Eric?" I called out in my weak voice, but he didn't response. "Eric, where are you?" I tried again, but my eyes widen as his body was thrown in front of me, his eyes wide open but they are lifeless.

He says before hanging up. I stare down at my phone, frustration building up in me as I try to processing the news. Doc Eric is dead. And I have no idea what's going to happen now. She nodded nervously. Eric didn't even reply, just ran for the stairs and edged his way in front of the extinguishers filing into the open door. He disappeared from sight, probably heading to the front, as we got into place behind the others and began running up the metal staircase; creating enough noise to wake the dead.

I let him support me as we walked up the stairs, step by step. He settled me into bed, tucked the blanket around me, and spoke gently. "Be good and sleep. Don't think about anything. Everything will be better tomorrow." I closed my eyes. A moment later, I felt his light kiss fall on my forehead. The door closed softly behind him, and the room sank into silence. My eyes snapped open. Tears slid silently across my entire face. 'Eric, there is no tomorrow for us. Our world ended the moment you chose to plan that death.'
