It cried out in pain as Ahmes dug her paws into the dirt, pulling back as hard as we could, trying to knock it over. The beast swung its claws at us, striking her right across the left side of her face. Ahmes let go with a yelp. Blood clouding her vision. The pain of the strike stinging with whatever filth was in the beast's claws. "Get up, get up, get up," I screamed as the beast charged at us once again. Its mouth hanging wide open, saliva dripping from its teeth. Its long skeleton-like hand gripped her hind leg. Ahmes growled and snapped at it viciously.

It's breathing was raggered and I knew that it wouldn't take much. I jumped on top of the cage in one swift movement and I grabbed him by the head and with my extended claws I scratched him across the face and I dropped him again and I jumped off the cage. I turned to look at it and it was screaming in the cage while it was holding it's cheek. The blood was pouring out of the wound and I stood back watching it try to stop the bleeding.

Blood splatters against my face, stinging me and blinding me for several seconds. He howls in frustration and charges again, teeth bared. I sidestep and swipe my claws over his stomach. A howl of pain is torn from his throat, and he falls to the ground with a whimper. I jump onto his back, grab his fur around the neck and hold tight. I yank down hard, tearing the skin of his throat and drawing blood. A growl tears itself from Steven's chest as he turns his head back and grabs at my legs. I drop off his back and spring away before he can do any more damage.
