My name soon became synonymous with crime and murder. Even Neil's affair with Lorraine was quickly spun into a redemption story. Neil was recast as a pitiable man forced to endure my tyranny and finally found the courage to escape from my grasp after meeting his angel, Lorraine. The creative twist they managed to weave into the story was truly awe-inspiring. As a STEM nerd, I was left completely speechless. "Maybe you two should write a novel together," I marveled. "You're the reason I'm like this now. You should compensate me! Hand over the money, or I'll report you for attempted murder!" Lorraine snapped.

Of course they do. They fold with the surge, roll under it, come up already moving while the rest of us slam into pipes, bodies, each other. Sarah catches Nell before Hale loses her. Renn goes under and comes up swearing blood. Vora disappears for two seconds that last too long before Finn drags her up by the collar. I hit the grate shoulder-first. Pain flashes white. Hit me like cold water. I push his head away from my already sensitive skin that is exposing when he gets down in between the alley of my breast. I push my body off of him violently landing on the couch beside him. He stays calm and unmoving but the look he throws sends fear into me. His penetrating eyes scared me. He no longer looks like how I always see him. Gentle and kind and now- he just looks like a serial killer ready to attack me. Who is this man? The thought crosses my mind again and I'm still feeling hot all over my body. My hand held a piece of cloth that was ripped from my body up to cover my exposed skin.

The pain is too much to bear so I try to reach for something. My hand touches one of the books I'd brought along and I pick it up and throw it at him. It distracts him for a second as he finally stops chewing on my leg. Before he has the chance to do any further damage, I use my other leg to stomp on his face and push him out of the carriage. As soon as that's done, I waste no time and crawl to the other door of the carriage, the strong adrenaline flowing through me, making the pain of my injured and bleeding leg almost non-existent.

“You must think I’m not, but I am sorry. This world isn’t the one you and Zion are used to.” The scare Damor just gave me told me I wasn’t safe here. “Then why not just let us leave?” He shook his head. “I can’t do that, and you know why.” I would not act like I do. “What I know is that there are as many bad people here as there are on the outside. Your brother is one of them.” This was my fear speaking. He took a step forward. “Damor plays dangerous games, but he means no harm. We might look bad to you, but one thing we will never do is harm you. The bad ones outside, just like Henry, would seek to harm you.”

The weeks that followed were just as bad as I was introduced to the perverse nature of the people I had lived with my whole life. I knew what had happened with Harper, and half expected it when Colton began to join us in the bedroom. But the hate that Colton had for me for helping Harper leave him was so evident in his actions and I would often have to spend days in bed recovering from it as Damien would tell me that it would be alright. He never once lifted a finger against his friend.

the only reson im even watching this show is because I can't find the remote and I don't want to move. After last nights little "brattying out" as Damien called it I was told no ice cream for two weeks and got my ass turned red, trust me when I say I love it when they all show me their domanince, at first I wasn't sure about it because well I think ive had anough abuse for a few life times but once I found the book and also did some research i understood that its not about abuse, and once I opened my mind to it I found myself craving it more.
