The door open, snapping my attention to it, my spirit dropped when John came in. I was hoping it was Marco sneaking. “Donna.” He stared, was confirming the bullshit the journalist has said. I shook my head, swallowing the thick lumps that have formed in my throat. “Where's Marco.” My voice broke, “I ask a question.” I demanded when he didn't say anything. His stare was fixed on the floor, I saw him fisting his palm and his body shook as if he were holding back his emotions. “Don is dead.” Even is voice was more broken than mine.

Unlocking it, I opened his message. Donny: Hey, P**e. Wyd? Me: Hii. I’m in town. Donny: What’ve you been up to? Me: I had brunch with a friend. Donny: A friend, huh? Me: Yup. Donny: What friend? I thought I was your only friend. ;) Me: Someone from work. Donny: Mm, a barista? Me: Yes. Donny: Cool. Where are you? I’ll pick you up!

“I’ll do it.” After Sky’s voice fell, a person stepped out from the crowd. It was a middle-aged man who looked to be in his 40s. He wore a black suit and did not look like a martial artist. Instead, he had the appearance of a successful businessman. It was none other than Donovan. Donovan inherited Winston’s True Energy and had become an eighth-ranked grandmaster. He had been tormented since his one-sided defeat at the hands of Tobias. After Tobias died, he never found the chance to prove his strength or bring glory to the Blithes.

He said as he walked towards the door. "And I am Carlos, why don't you sleep food will be brought to you soon" he said and walked out the door, she felt light headed all of a sudden and knew something was it the water he gave her. A shaky exhale escaped her. Her stomach turned. The room began to blur. She swayed, blackness tugged on her subconscious, and then it dragged her all the way under. Later in the Don's office Carlos walked in and saw Marco busy with some work as usual, his friend was such a workaholic, he thought. He did not look up when Carlos entered so he sat down at the edge of Marco's table and said.

It was Donny’s business! Not in the mood to engage with a pick-up poser, Javier decided it was time for him and Suzanne to leave. I really didn’t expect you and my screenwriter to be acquaintances.” Helios proposed a toast with Donny. “I haven’t seen you since our last collaboration. I heard you came to Zlokova to prepare for your new movie. I didn’t expect her to be your screenwriter.” “She’s Professor Merlin’s favorite student, and Mr. Lancell introduced her to me. Not to mention that her script is quite to my liking.” Donny had always been known as the “Godfather of Thrillers” in the industry and always loved shooting suspense dramas and movies.

Suddenly, the crowd parted, making way for someone who walked in as casually as if he were strolling through a fivestar hotel lobby rather than a trashed, rundown apartment. The man wore a dark gray threepiece suit that looked immensely expensive, even in the dim light of the flashlights. His leather shoes gleamed as he stepped over the door debris without hesitation. His face was sharp, with a strong jaw and eyes as black as soot that radiated absolute dominance. Matteo De Luca. Noah swallowed, his throat as dry as a desert. He recognized that face from the thousands of articles and files he had just hacked. The Don himself had come to catch him.

Luca took Ezio Conti very seriously. The old Don came through the gate in a car that was understated in the specific way of someone who had nothing to prove — black, clean, no unnecessary detail. He stepped out with the slightly stooped posture of a tall man who had spent decades leaning in to hear things and straightened as much as he straightened these days and looked at Luca with the sharpest dark eyes Luca had ever seen on a man his age. He carried his walking stick. He didn’t lean on it heavily.

Dorian slammed his fist on the table again. “That was a f*cking different things. Nellie was not some filthy sl*t ….unlike your so-called wife, who got knocked up by some pathetic stranger,” Dorian burst out at Luka, and his choice of words for Esme were enough to fade that calmness from Luka's demeanour. Tears stung Esme's eyes, whereas Kyler and his mother silently enjoyed that argument between Luka and his father. Dorian stormed towards Luka. “Do you even whose f*cking low blood child she has given birth to or who knows…how many fathers her daughter ha….” Dorian couldn't complete his sentence as Luka grabbed his throat and slammed his head on the table in front of them.
