ALPHA DORIAN
I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something deeper going on, something that I was only just beginning to uncover.
"That's the book I was talking about," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
Dorian nodded, his eyes focused on the pages. He flipped through the book with practiced ease, as if he could understand the cryptic symbols and ancient texts written within its pages.
Suddenly, he slammed the book shut, causing me to jump in fright. "What was that for?" I demanded, my heart racing.
"Eden, there are many things you don't know," Dorian said gravely, his eyes meeting mine. "And I think it's time for you to find out."
