The Fathers of My Child?

The Fathers of My Child?

But I am. Because I know what she sees when she looks at me now. A traitor. A ghost. She’s late. Everyone notices. I glance at the time for the fifth time, then rub the sweat off my palms. Then the doors open. She walks in. And everything in this room goes silent for me. Even the chewing. Even the camera shutters. Even my own pulse. Dorothy’s in black. From head to toe. Not a strand out of place. Her face is done but tired. Not tired like sleepy. Tired like war-torn.

The Billionaire's Redemption Game

The Billionaire's Redemption Game

I hissed, glaring at her while holding my hand. “Didn't you see me walking in? Why didn't you greet me?” she asked, placing her hands on her hips. “You're such a rude woman. No wonder why your mother-in-law can't stand you.” I mumbled under my breath. “Well, the feeling's mutual.” “What did you say?!” I let out a sigh before turning to the woman. Dorothy was a housewife who relied on her husband's wealth to feel revelant in the elite society. She wasn't smart or hardworking, but always followed other people's plans and ended up being the scape goat most of the time.

Ichabod

Ichabod

"Odin, please. It's Rashidat, I need you. Please, let me save you. Fight and come..." "The spirits are too strong," the body said without opening the eyes. "Fight," she shouted as she recognized the voice. "Fight, Odin. You are strong." "No, I'm a terrible person," the body replied. "Don't save me, Rashidat. I'ma monster. I will hurt you. I am not Ichab" "No. You saved that little girl at the dance, Odin. You saved us all. You helped Harmony. You are strong and you are a good person. There's a cure!"

Sindy Kate

Sindy Kate

It already happened, but I still wished it didn’t happen tonight. “You are not. I thought what we had was something special, but I was wrong. I was wrong to trust you again. You used me. Jesus Christ, Harry, you are the shallowest woman I’ve ever met. Of all the things you would sell out was all about us—the only thing left that hadn’t been out to the public.” You used me. My heart turned to ice. “I didn’t write your name.” “People are not so damn stupid, Harriet. Let me guess, your story is entitled Sindy Kate, isn’t it?”

Amelia

Amelia

Violet said as she smiles and slightly bows down to them after introducing herself. “Nice to meet you, you’re very adorable,” Rea said as she smiles welcomingly before ruffling Violet’s hair. Violet giggled and walked towards the table without paying her messy hair any mind. Jin, however, notices her messy hair and without thinking, he combed her hair using his fingers, trying to untangle her hair. Violet didn’t say anything, staying still for Jin to fix her raven black hair that was messy due to sleeping on the dirt and Rea adding to it by ruffling her hair.

Do I have dementia? “Oh dear, you look confused.” She says as she laughs a little, “Come with me, I feel like I should introduce you to some people.” She says and I blindly follow her. Too confused to know what’s going on. “This is Gwen, Harry, Marie, Penelope, Daphne, Kyle, Daryl, Juliette, Sarah, Seb, Ron, Terry and of course Dave.” My eyes widen when I realize what is happening. Oh. My. God.

Scarlett

Scarlett

Scarlett I entered a beautiful, warmly lit room with a polished, four-sitter, premium-crafted wooden dining table. The type my father had. The wood shined, and it was beautiful. The dining room was a bit ostentatious, but the alpha was rich, so he had money to spare. I was given a place to sit, I was the only one there, and I felt a bit weird. The beige dinner gown I wore was the only reason I didn't feel out of place. Who would have thought a random man I stopped on the highway would lead me here?

I read and finished in full Spirit Wolf, My Alpha, His Mate, Unwanted, Dangerous and Insatiable Desires, The Dark Side Of Fate, Once In The Dust, Scarlett, and now started Underwater, and all of them are my favorite. I still have to a few more but I have to finish one to move to the next

This was a great book, rich in detail and with complex characters. It’s the second book I read from this author, the first being “Unwanted”, which had no ending. This book also has no ending. I’m really disappointed to have wasted so much money on books that appear to have been abandoned.

The Billionaire's Heiress

The Billionaire's Heiress

The woman raised her voice on me. "Stop, Gretchen." Mr. Bertrand stood up from his seat and walked towards me. "What's your name again, young lady?" "Dorothy, sir." "Dorothy, I want you to meet my wife, Gretchen." He introduced me to the woman I bumped into. So I was right. She is the mother of the Young Master. They indeed have similarities. Mr. Bertrand pointed the two who were sitting at the couch so they stood up. "That's Charmaine Heather, the lady's maid. She's the one who helps my wife dress, do her hair, and generally to look after my wife in any way that was needed." He pointed the lady who's just the same age as me.

Morrigan

Morrigan

She had not been expecting anyone to come to her office, especially with Colfre currently bedridden, she did not think that anyone will dare go and knock at her door for the maids and guards will surely stop them earlier knowing that she is not in the mood to face anyone at that moment. "Morrigan..." Rita's small voice sounded from the other side of the door making Morrigan smile at the back of her mind. She stood from her seat and hoisted her skirts. Walked towards the door, opened it, and saw Rita holding a flower in her hand. A small white daisy was offered to her. Rita flashes a bright smile exposing her teeth, Morrigan smiled seeing how some of Rita's teeth are missing. "For you..." Rit

Sadie

Sadie

She never really had someone to help her and she wanted people to know she could help. I gave in one day and bought us this little house that was run down and needed a lot of work. While we rented this small apartment. I worked on the house behind Sadie’s back. It was hard to pull off any surprises around Sadie. She always knew what I was up to. She couldn’t help it, but I did my best to keep it off my mind whenever I was around her and so far it seemed to work. Unless she knew and just wasn’t telling me. I didn't want us to bring our new daughter home to a small apartment. I wanted Sadie and my daughter to have a home that belonged to us. Sadie even made a new friend at school. Her name is
