The Goodbye He Never Saw Coming
A younger man in a white coat opens it, looking somewhat irritated at being bothered right before closing time.
"Richard, I was just about to leave for an important meeting," the man says.
"I know, I know," Doctor Richard says apologetically. "But this young lady is a former employee and a friend. She just needs a quick clarification on a DNA test result. It will only take a moment."
The lab doctor, whose name tag reads Dr. Stone, looks like he wants to refuse, but something about Doctor Richard's expression makes him reconsider. Or maybe it's my desperate, pleading face. Either way, he finally sighs and says, "Fine. But make it quick."
