"What?" Azalia couldn't believe her ears. Surely, she hadn't heard Melech right. "A dragony?" She repeated in a puzzled voice. "Nobody in their right mind would ride such a dangerous creature." Dragonies were small dragon-like creatures belonging to the Adom Kingdom. They were a dark orange colour, their wings and bodies covered with red scales strong enough to stop a blade. They were gorgeous but could breathe fire and had extremely sharp fangs and claws that could kill a man on the spot. Azalia would never dare approach one of those too close.

He drew closer, still circling, until I could make out details of his form, the powerful wings spread wide, the strong legs drawn close to his body. More like a scaled wild cat than a sinuous snake, I noted as my heart fluttered with instinctual fear.
