[Carnelia] I never expected that the name that would spring from her lips would be the same as the name I first encountered at the beginning of this adventure, in the pages of a children’s book read to me by my mate before I even understood what a mate really was. Even before I knew what it was to be a dragon, that name had importance to me. That book was the first book I ever read. My name, Carnelia, was picked from its pages. Oaestr is the mother of all dragonkind. The first of us. Surely she isn’t that Oaestr. I’m not even sure that she was ever anything more than a fantasy story told to hatchlings to help them make sense of the confusing world we live in.

- I told him. He nodded and pulled several books out from one of the stacks and set them in front of me. I opened the top book and ran my fingers over the runes in the title. It was beautifully written as if each word was drawn with love and attention to detail. Now that I looked at it, it reminded me of a combination of Norse and Old English. Nerrian pulled his chair closer and pointed to the first word, speaking it in my mind than out loud in Draygonian. With his help, I repeated the word over and over again until I perfected it.

I thought with a scornful look on my face. "I can't wait to control their feeble mind," Kendra, my dragon, said with an excited look. "For making fun of how I looked." This war had started years ago when I first accidentally found a book titled the first dragons. And then someone helped me to know more about the first dragons, and their history. Everything started with that first book. The book was buried deep in the depth of a library, and that was the only print, I had found out later. The fascination became obsession and the obsession became need.

I wake up and notice Taran is gone. Letting out a sigh, I slowly get out of bed. At least I didn’t have any nightmares. Not knowing what else to do, I begin looking through dragon folklore. Though Taran and I have gone over things many times, I can’t help feeling like we are missing something. My searching doesn’t uncover anything new, so I look at one of the books Taran brought when flying me home. The book has spells and summarizes who, why, and when about the spells. I look at the summaries and find a name that sounds familiar. “Lyse Galno”

I whisper as I yawn. “Let us sleep now, my love.” “Before we do. Can I ask what happened to them?” She looks up at me. “Unless you…” “You needn’t worry. But, no I did not. I only took them far away and told them to never return.” I nod and snuggled my face into his chest and let sleep take me to dream about a princess and her prince dragon.

I spent hours studying the text. I learned about Alice's Dragon, referred to in ancient languages as the 'Rare Healer of Fire.' This unique dragon was gifted with ancient magic. If the Rare Healer of Fire mated with another dragon, they would be reborn as humans but retain the ability to use dragon magic without their dragon forms.

I sat on small wooden stool that was present inside, since Draco was not back yet , I decided to go though my bag, I pulled out all four books that was written by my grandmother on Dark Creatures, Spells, poison and lastly DRAGONS, each of this book included all detail information on spell, method, about ghost, warewolf, sorceress , way to tackle them and many more things, tree books included every detail on other supernatural things while one entire book was dedicated to Dragon. Out of curiosity, I picked up dragon book and started reading from beginning, I only finished two page when I felt someone’s presence behind me, I rapidly turned but found no one right. ‘THUD… THUD….’ two wooden pla

My expectations of hefty magic tomes full of spells were quickly dashed. Laney’s idea of books was limited to fairy tales about princesses and knights and, of course, magic. Not exactly what I had in mind. As far as she was concerned, if it didn’t interest her, it didn’t exist. “This one’s really good,” she informed me, holding up a thin novel called Loved By Two Dragons. “He’s a dragon, but he’s also a handsome boy. But his brother’s even more handsome, and he’s an even bigger dragon!”

I quickly head out to the next shelf. I don’t know how much time has passed, but I feel exhausted. Drake plops into one of the armchairs before the fireplace, yawning. “I covered thirty shelves, and there’s no book on celestial wolves. This is not a library. It's a book town!” He rests his chin on his arm. “It's so huge that I might find aliens hiding somewhere.” “Stop with the excuses. You are just incapable, that’s all,” Dory says while biting her thumbnail, her eyes trained on the book she’s holding.
