He was not sure whether the plan to exorcize the witchcraft from her aunt would work. The hut was as vacant as they had left it on their previous visit. But there was a new development; the floor was as black as ebony and there were drawings resembling a snake on the walls. Okayo stared at the drawings with suspicion. He had never seen them on the dunged walls before and he wondered what they stood for.

All I knew was that I dozed off into a very deep sleep. HEAVEN. My eyes opened slowly and I glanced around the little building. It looked so strange and childish, with ugly drawings on the wall. Different colors were plastered everywhere with drawings of shape and funny looking crystal balls. One actually piqued my interest, a drawing that looked like a man on the throne with the moon above his head. Below him were dead bodies and a sword in his hands. I raised my body at once and took a look at the crooked drawing. The head of the man has a symbol of the moon and I gasped.

But that wasn’t what he was drawing today. There was a picture of two girls—rendered crudely in crayon, but still identifiable as girls. One of them had short blond hair and the other had long brown braids. Their hands were on their faces and their mouths open in screams. David had drawn these as big black circles. A huge black shadow hovered before them, a shapeless body with red eyes and clearly defined hands. The hands looked like long silver knives. There were many drawings before this one. Lauren wondered how long David had been at it.

His Grandpa gestured at what he said and stroked his head once more. Harry additionally cheerfully showed his attracting to his dad when he went into the library room. He saw his bustling perusing archives while smoking, he gradually moved toward him and gave over the made drawing. "That's what is?" her dad asked, scowling. "My drawing Dad." And he gave his Dad the paper. He took a gander at it; it was a family clasping hands while strolling through the park. He promptly folded Harry's paper with his drawing and tossed it at him.

She was somewhere around seven or eight, completely absorbed in whatever she was drawing, her tongue pressed to the corner of her mouth in concentration. I was however after a specific spell, the channeling spell. I knew what I was getting into and yet it was the only option I had if I wanted to defeat the evil wizard. As I skimmed through the drawings, one caught my eye. There was a large candle in a tin of water, with two large pots of plant on either side. On the far end of the page, a bird soared high with a ring of fire placed around one of it's legs.

He pulled out a small bundle of trinkets—buttons, beads, a broken bracelet—and several crumpled papers. "Bingo," he murmured. Bella gasped. "Her stash. She hides things all the time at our place too." We all sat down right there on the floor, spreading out the drawings. Childish sketches. A house. A crying face. A stick-figure family. A swing set. Then my fingers froze. "Here," I said. "Look at this." We all leaned in. It was a grey, smudged drawing of an oval with a cross on top.

No wonder Killian couldn’t look me in the eye this morning. I reach for the sketch pad Elara left by the nightstand. My fingers tremble, but I grip the pencil like it’s my lifeline. My hand stops only when I notice the paper trembling beneath my touch. Not from me. From the floor. A low vibration hums through the wood. Like a warning.

For some reason, her instincts immediately told her this conversation wasn't as simple as it sounded. The teacher offered a small smile. "Hazel draws very well." Aurora nodded. "She loves drawing." "But after she finished..." The teacher opened a thin folder she had been carrying. Then pulled out a sheet of paper. Aurora immediately recognized the drawing. Herself. Darius. Hazel. Their house. And a dog they didn't even own. A very typical child's drawing. But there was one additional figure in the corner of the page. A man. Standing a little apart from everyone else.
