A Hopeless Love

A Hopeless Love

Before his death, he asked Carter to tell me, "I'm sorry, Lani. I failed to see people clearly in this life. I mistook a worthless rock for a precious stone and lost the real gem… "My life ends here. I hope I can make it up to you in the next one." After saying that, he hanged himself. Reading this felt like I was reading someone else's story. I felt nothing inside, even thinking they had wasted their lives on meaningless things. But then I realized I couldn't decide how others choose to live, so none of this concerned me anymore. After sending all this, Carter added, "If you're feeling sad, you can talk to me. I'm willing to bear your negative emotions."

Sorry, Too Late

Sorry, Too Late

Darius was the last one to speak. His eyes were bloodshot, shining with a slew of complicated emotions. He said nothing as he solemnly stared at Evan for a few moments. When he parted his lips to speak, he couldn't help but stumble over his words, saying, "Evan, I'm sorry. Please don't send me to the authorities. I don't want to die..." Although he sounded apologetic, he could hear the sound of his teeth grinding echoing in his ears. He had to force his throat to spit the apology out. Frankly, he was beyond furious and utterly humiliated.

A Literal Pitiful Act

A Literal Pitiful Act

"Nana, this girl is so pitiful. Let's take her home." As soon as I heard those words, my consciousness suddenly returned to me. The familiar faces and scenes flooded back, and I immediately accepted the fact that I had been reborn. The girl was shivering from the cold. Her tattered clothes barely concealed the signs of abuse on her body. Standing before me was a boy with delicate features. A hint of sadness lay between his brows. His bright eyes were filled with sympathy and pity for the girl. His expensive branded clothes screamed "rich, naive young heir" from head to toe.

My Horrible Romance

My Horrible Romance

He was holding his stomach which felt stiff from laughing too much. "Adaaam." Yara let out a pitiful expression. In the past, this expression of hers always managed to get Adam to fulfill her request. Adam gasped for a few seconds then one finger pushed Yara's forehead. "It doesn't work. Who do you think you are, you think that by being so pitiful I will do what you want?" "You don't feel sorry for me, Dam? You already have a future wife. Most of our friends are already married. Me? I don't have a boyfriend yet, Dam. Guess why?”

An Unwanted Fate

An Unwanted Fate

I knew Ryan had to be feeling it too wherever he was. “I’m so sorry, love.” I poured out my apology. “I know you deserve so much better than me. I didn’t deserve a mate at all, let alone one as amazing and perfect for me as you are. It still hurts me to know you could really believe I didn’t want you.”

love the fact the author helps the readers feel all those emotions we feel in relationships from the happiest to the most self loathing, but gives you that hope that of course love will conquer, even when we don't feel we deserve it!

the story is so human. focusing on emotions. the people are highly emotional beings especially Kat and Reegan and so they make so many mistakes that seems idiotic. though the dealing with emotions could be better. This story is captivating and steamy and I just couldn't put it down

The Wife Swap

The Wife Swap

she cried, her voice cracking with desperation. “I’m so sorry!” I cried out, my voice thick with emotion. “I’m so sorry for everything, for being a bad sister, for not being there for you!” The words tumbled out, fueled by guilt and sorrow. I felt like I was standing on the edge of a cliff, teetering dangerously close to falling into the abyss of my own regret.

The Ugly Truth

The Ugly Truth

I rushed toward the grave. The blood-stained words read, "Cindy Larson is a shameless woman, and the parents who raised her are animals!" What kind of hatred or grudge could make someone deface Peter and Lila's grave with such vicious words? My vision went black. I collapsed to my knees, desperately trying to wipe the words off. "Dad, Mom, I'm sorry. I've failed you. You can't even rest in peace. It's my fault. How could this happen? I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry!"

Nicole's walls

Nicole's walls

"Mr Philip sent me to give this to you." "Thanks." I collected the book to inspect the front cover, while he showed off some dimples. The book had a raccoon as it's display photo. The raccoon looked thrilled to bits with both hands up and mouth open like it was shouting. The background was yellow, it had the words, 'furiosly happy' boldly written on it. Under the book title, there were word too that said, 'a funny book about terrible things' written in smaller font, while the author's name was Jenny Lawson.
