It was almost as if the rest of the world dropped away and the only things that existed were blinding whiteness and the black of night, just light and shadows. The silver forest culminated with a single diamond tree, the rock shining the darkness, collecting all the light of the magyck that was wasted on this stupid curse. And beyond the tree, stood the iron gates. They were open, the design, hidden in the darkness. And beyond the gate, they waited. Twelve young men waited, each of them suited to our looks and personalities. Each of them dead. Each of them cursed.

Carina solemnly said. "Are you worried about Lona's warning?" "Uhuh. I also keep getting nightmares these days." She closes her eyes. The vivid images of her nightmares flashed by her mind. A dark and tall shadow is creeping out from under her bed. It's slowly approached her with a wide grin on its smoldered face. Its nails are long and sharp. Carina trembled in fright as she remembers its dangerous glints, full of vengeance and malice towards her. That shadow tried to touch her stomach while cackling boisterous laughter. Its laughter resounding in her dim-lit room, and Carina jolted up from her sleep, screaming in horror and fear.

The shadows gathered return to me here, in the chamber of utter night. One by one, the shadows unhinge from the cloud of chaos around me, taking only a shadowy form of their beings until they are many beings that stand around me, almost enough to fill the throne room. I do not ask for their faces, so they remain merely designs of shadow. My eyes circle numerous shadows of slaves that surround me, each one as they emerge from chaos, before turning to Shades that still stand before me quietly, their eyes of night watching me as still as a statue.

just a dream. I clench my eyes closed once again despite the pain, as the shadow starts to talk once more. Wake the hell up... wake the hell up... wake up... I open my eyes to find the shadow’s still beside me. I look across the room; a slightly smaller shadow emerges from the darkness and moves forwards to join the first shadow. They are close in size, both just standing looking over me. Just a dream... wake up, please... wake the hell up... Cora, help me... Cora, please... Cora, get me out of here... where is Cora?

He understood the words of the shadows perfectly. He had indeed had such a dream the night before and he was scared to death. It was too vivid and real to be a dream, and when he woke up his dress was drenched in sweat. Everyone was clear on what the shadows could do and not do. It was no dream of course and they were all aware of it. It was a vision.
