Shadows began appearing along the horizon, and the whispers increased. The smell of fresh flowers but none within sight, only grass. I followed the smell to an old oak tree. The bark was tough and rough as I held my hand against the trunk. It creaked and groaned as a door appeared in front of me in the trunk. Stepping through brought me home. But it didn't feel like home. It was cold, empty, with grayness overcast through it. Breath was visible in front of me as I took deep breaths. All light and love had sucked out of it. This time I heard his voice. Damian!

I couldn't even smell her scent so I couldn't follow her. That night I couldn't get her off my mind, sleep was not an option. I need to find out who she is and why I am having a hard time detecting what she is. My wolf said she is a werewolf but I can't smell her wolf on her at all. Shadow thinks that she has no clue what she is. He also thinks that she was never part of a pack as we can't detect any pack scent on her either. Witch I guess would have made scents on why she has no wolf yet if she has never been around our kind she would develop at a much slower pace than the rest of us.

The evil of shadows moved closer in her direction. She feels heaviness and high tension as the evil comes closer and closer to her.

My breath came in sharp, shallow bursts as I stared at Marcus's lifeless body, the pool of blood around him spreading like ink on a parchment. I hadn't done this. I couldn’t have done this. Could I? A jolt of panic coursed through me, snapping me out of my frozen state. I backed away, my gaze darting around the room. The shadows on the walls seemed alive, coming closer to me. Our elders, mothers, grandmothers, are acting distant, hearing whispers in their dreams. I could see him on the other corner of the closet, his head leaning on the wood, eyes closed. ‘I’m here, Izobel. Relax... I can’t hear you! Unblock me, Izobel! What’s happening with you?’ Her voice was in a panic, too. Why can’t she hear me? I took a deep breath, mind linking with her again, but I realized I didn’t block her. Something was stopping me from connecting with my twin. I started to sniff, creating visions in my mind of how my day would end. I imagine myself transforming into a wolf, lunging into him, scratching him by accident, or killing him. I envision him in shock as he hears my skin ripping and changing, and he would probably faint when he realizes that my bones are snapping

But as she stood there, her eyes lingering on the growing pile of unpaid bills on the counter, the harsh reality set in, she was running out of time. The moonlight cast shadows across her face while the sea murmured secrets through the broken window. A mix of despair and determination brewed in her heart as her thoughts raced. Then she heard it, a faraway sound, the horn of a ferry announcing its arrival. Gripping the window’s edge, she wondered possibility or just another harsh reminder that time was slipping away.

I was about to step out into the room when I noticed the reflection in the mirror hanging on the bathroom wall. There were shadows behind me, trying to grab my back. I took a deep breath to calm my nerve and talked to myself that they were just the product of my hallucination.
