Thanks, real-Silas for being an actual demon sent to torment me. I had to face him. Eventually. I dragged myself out of bed, showered, and put on the most boring clothes I could find in my closet. baggy sweater, leggings, and a messy bun. If I looked like a soggy potato, maybe he’d forget my dream noises and go back to pretending I was a houseplant. Walking down the hallway felt like walking toward my own funeral. A walk of shame My bare feet barely made a sound , but my heart was pounding loud enough to wake up the dead.

Just as this thought crossed my mind, rain began to pour down on me. As the ground became slippery, walking in my heels grew increasingly difficult. Sighing, I stooped down and took off my shoes, electing to carry them and walk in my bare feet. I prayed that I would reach my car soon so that I could crank up the heater and have some semblance of warmth.

I heard myself say “Since you’re not going to be accepted by your people, you can be useful.” “It’s not that simple, they would try to kill me and as a dreamer I get the most painful death” “I thought dreamers are immortal” I said “With our powers we are but once they get drained, we are just like any other person on both planes” “I don’t think calling for help is working because I’ve been trying to call for help since but I don’t feel anything” I said with my voice shaking with fear “I really don’t want to spend my whole life here.”

I know soon those moans will turn to screams. We walk side by side across the dock, eerily lit up by huge yellow lights. I stumble in an attempt to keep up with Andres' long strides and wince as I stub my toe. The ballet flats I'd chosen to wear had been lost when I jumped in the water. My feet are now bare and my dark blue hooded sweatshirt and thin white trousers are thoroughly soaked.

Everything is silent like a horror movie. I was walking silently and lazily out of tiredness caused by continuous walking. About my feet, they are feeling so heavy as I don't have a good pair of shoes on my feet rather than its slippers, therefore, my feet are not in good shape. So, I sit on the ground to catch my tired breaths. *Vroom* *Vroom* *Vroom* *Vroom* *Vroom* *Vroom* *Vroom* *Vroom*

No man should be able to do that with just a look. “I miss sleep and being able to lay the way I want.” Jennah came through the door rubbing her hand over her swollen belly. “But I think I miss my feet the most.” She stopped and looked from Brody to Tess and then sighed. “Sorry, bad night of baby dancing inside me.” Tess got up and offered her an understanding smile. “Don’t worry about it.”

I needed coffee, and I was probably still sleeping, and all of this was in my head. I got out of bed and took my phone from the nightstand then immediately dialed Lily’s number. It rang once, twice, then her voice came from the other side. “Zane?” “Lily, I think I’ve started sleepwalking.” “Wait, what?” “Yeah. I really hope it’s not what I’m thinking, because I had a dream where I was in the woods, and when I woke up there were muddy footprints on my room floor.” There was silence for a moment.

I was never one to sleepwalk. How was I able to get past the guards stationed outside the door, go unnoticed through the castle exits, and end up alone in this forest? Something was wrong. First, it was that strange dream, and now I was sleepwalking. The wind was as harsh as it was in my dream. I glanced around, trying to locate an exit from my current spot. I took a step forward and the earth squished under my feet. A hum travelled through the night and my ears perked. Hoping I was heading in the right direction, I walked faster.

Biya just drifted into a deep slumber a while earlier when she woke up abruptly after seeing a horrible nightmare. As she put her hand on her heart, it was beating fast. Her face was all sweaty. She runs her eyes in the surroundings and finds herself in her room. She just had a bad dream. She saw that she was running barefoot in the scorching hot desert. There was not an indication of a single person till very far. A deep silence and an abandoned place, this is what she sees everywhere. And she feels she will lose her sanity in this eerie silence.

Before I know it, I am walking through paths that I didn't even know are supposed to be a part of the pack. The paths that were clear with motorcycle tracks around it are soon filled with bushes that I am quickly walking through. That is when I realize that I am barefooted. But I don't care. I can't turn back. Not with that awful sound in my ears. The ground is filled with sticks and branches of trees that are long dried. I soon give up on being careful, and quicken my footsteps instead. The branches dig into my feet. I am not crying out for some reason. My blood coats the branches.
