The dark humor was so perfectly Jaxx that I couldn't help but laugh. I burst out laughing, the sound bright against the lingering tension in the room. The absurdity of his grim humor never failed to catch me off guard, to remind me that beneath the violence and the control, there was a man who made me laugh in the darkest moments. Jaxx just shrugged, completely unbothered by his own dark wit, though a small smile played at his lips, softening the hard lines of his face.

Marc slid his fingers together as if trying to work out a complex puzzle. "Okay. Let's try this a different way. Boys are so damn complicated." "Fat, wicked and complicated. Humor was the weapon of choice for him - it always was. Anything that made him uncomfortable or feel out of place and he would reach for humor every time. He leaned over to blow at the top of his drink, the steam lifting the smell of chocolate into the air. He breathed in deeply, knowing that his mother was going to keep after him until he completely spilled.

I asked as I turned around and continued walking trying not to let them know that I was nervous inside. "It's me. Dylan" He spoke as his car drove at the same pace as me. fear, shock and excitement rushed through me. "Girl you look sexy." He joked goofily. How the fuck can someone so funny and attractive be a killer? I have no idea. "U-um thanks." I stuttered as I fumbled with my words. "Where are you off to? Do you need a ride?" I asked, "So, Miss. How is it going with the Dark humour guy? Any update so far?" "HA! Dark humour! He's the funniest guy, I've ever met. Didn't you hear that line of him? I mean he called himself motherfucker; oh my, that's the kind of humour I love. Every time he cracks a joke, it makes me head over heels for him. And not forget his awkwardness around girls" the sarcasm was dripping from her mouth. But that changed my mood. And we both started chuckling, "He's not that bad!" I exclaimed. Right? Harsh approaches with his jolly demeanor. "I'm so sorry,Meera. I should have been careful with my mouth." Harsh gets to the point without any twisting. I guess it runs in the family. I laughed out loud at my sarcasm; I had that problem, I was one of those people that thought they were too funny and no one could top their humor. “What’s with you? His tone was mocking, precise. "Guess what? I don't give a fuck about your opinion," I snapped, though a small, stubborn smile tugged at my lips. And he laughed. Actual laughter—Alexander Grayson laughing—and for some reason, it felt monumental. The sound was effortless, magnetic, and it should have annoyed me—but it didn't. "You're funny," he said. I blinked. Funny? I was clearly roasting him. "Oh really? Then your humor's clearly broken, because I wasn't trying to be funny."

He is serious as fuck, and from what the mortal world slang would say, ‘Kill joy! Kill joy of all things. He doesn’t have fun with life. Well, I hope he’s enjoying himself right now because he was laughing. His husky voice makes me shudder, ringing in my senses. It was… heaven to my ears. I don’t know why but it is what it is.
