THE MOON'S FORBIDDEN MATE
Inside was a circular chamber, unlike anything Lily had seen.
A giant map spanned the domed ceiling—celestial bodies, constellations, phases of the moon. Below it, altars lined the room, each marked with names she barely recognized. And in the center: a pool of silver water, rippling with images that changed as she watched.
One moment it showed a burning forest.
The next, a silver-haired child screaming at the sky.
And then… nothing but black.
“What is this place?” she whispered.
Alistair approached the pool. “The Selenic Archive. The last memory of our origin. The wolves were not the first. Nor will we be the last.”
