The golden crest pinned to his lapel was all the confirmation I needed. Headmaster Alistair. “I had students searching for you,” he said, stopping in front of me, eyes cool and unreadable. “I was trying to find your office,” I replied, offering a polite smile laced with mild sarcasm. “This place is a maze.” He didn’t return the smile. “Follow me,” he said instead, already turning. I trailed behind him through the pristine halls until we reached a grand office with high ceilings, a wall of books, and windows that looked over the entire campus like a throne room watching over peasants.

I clenched my jaw against the rising nausea and pushed the door open. The smell of sandalwood and expensive cologne filled my nose immediately, wrapping around my lungs like smog. The Headmaster’s office was cavernous, its high ceilings adorned with glass chandeliers, bookshelves lining every wall, filled with leather-bound tomes of ancient magic, clan treaties, and confidential student files. The air felt too heavy, charged with something electric and poisonous.

With a sigh, I follow perfect Clarrisa. We exit the office into a glass-lined corridor, Clarrisas heels click loudly on the cream marble floor. Everything feels too bright and shiny. I'd hate to be the cleaner here, there must be a whole army of cleaners to keep all the glass and marble clean. Clarrisa leads me to an elevator and I let an audible breath as I remember my last elevator ride before I was kidnapped by a sexy, rude, jerk of a… wizard? Then I snort laugh as I think about what is happening. I'm in freaking Hogwarts, and that makes Mr Collins Professor Dumbledore. Clarrisa gives me a disapproving side-eye. “Sorry, it's been a wild day,” I explain.

Cold air blasted straight down, and I sneezed several times in a row. Anna Underwood, who sat nearby, turned at the sound. After glancing at what I was wearing, she spoke with the same well-meaning concern she had shown in my last life. "Even if the office has air conditioning, it's easy to catch a chill on the way to work. You should dress a bit warmer." I sniffed, forcing myself to endure the cold. "Anna, do you feel like the office temperature is a little low today?" She reached up and tested the air above her own seat. "It's warm. It's always this temperature. Besides, this is a central system. Every vent should be the same."

I was about to knock when the door suddenly opened on its own Wow! Their door is hightech huh! I just went in and I saw an old man sitting in a chair with his hand on the table. He is old but his complexion does not have any wrinkles. He also sat up straight and his body still looked strong. He looks like the Dumbledore of Harry Potter! His hair is also white and he has a long mustache like dumbledore! Could it be that Dumbledore has a missing twin? Oh my god! I’m getting crazy!

I swung the door open and glanced back at her as I said, "I mean it, Nat." * * * While not a quote from the books, Michael Gambon's Dumbledore says this to Harry in Deathly Hallows: Part 2: "Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it."

I opened the office door as I walked in and he walked behind me. “Oh mine!! This is luxury itself.” He snapped as he looked at his office. “This is beautiful.” He complimented again. “So, you can enjoy yourself. We will have a brief meeting later this evening.” I mumbled. “Yifa is on her way. A little spot has been made for her so, by 12 noon, she will get here.” I muttered as I excused myself to give him the privacy he needed. C9 Dumbledore’s POV:

“Zoe, Damon, Kael, Lyra, Draven, Seris—my office. NOW!” The voice of Headmaster Dorne cut through the chaos like a dagger through fog. We exchanged glances, mischief bubbling just beneath the surface as we stepped into what was left of his scorched office. Smoke coiled from the corners, mingling with the scent of burnt wood and… victory. “Headmaster,” I offered sweetly, “you summoned us?” His glare could have melted the silver lining off a blessed sword. “Sodium pellets in my school's sinks? Do you think this is a circus, Ms. Stone?”

So, he jumped on top of the magic circle in full alert. "We're leaving now," said the sorcerer. In an instant, their figures disappeared, and they moved into an office in the Magic Tower. The office looked spacious with a large wooden table on one side. There was a portrait of the sorcerer behind the table hanging quite large on the wall. It looked like he held quite an important position in this place. In one corner of the room, there was a table and sofa for receiving guests. On the other side, there was a row of bookshelves. In the center was a large space to create a magic circle.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when I followed the spiral staircase up to Professor Dana’s office, but god damn, I sure as hell wasn’t prepared for her door to slide open on its own. Magic glittered in the crack as I crossed the threshold. The smell of fresh parchment, lavender oil, and ozone filled the room. Tall shelves lined the walls from floor to ceiling, overflowing with spellbooks, artifacts, scrolls, and, the least conspicuous of all, at least three magical familiars sleeping in jars I didn’t dare to get too close to.
