Adrian yanked her to her feet. The compound’s alarms blared behind them. Guards poured out. Adrian grabbed Juniper’s hand. “We run now.” Juniper nodded. They ran. Through the darkness, through the chaos, through the gunfire. But the night was far from over. And Damien Cross wasn’t done with them yet. Cliffhanger Ending: As they disappeared into the shadows, Damien watched from the balcony above, a slow smirk spreading across his face. “Run all you want, sweetheart,” he murmured. “You won’t get far.”

Ronan’s POV The smell landed on me the second I stepped into the academy hall and I stopped abruptly at the door. It wasn’t just any scent. It hit me low in my throat and it twisted around my lungs, and squeezed. It was wrong and right at the same time, it smelled sweet and sharp, warm like the sun on stone but weaved with something raw and metallic underneath. It was giving two things: Mate… and Hybrid. I froze. My Beta glanced over, eyebrows raised. “You good?”

Damien adjusted her hair with surprising tenderness. “Whatever happens in there,” Kael said, looking at both of them, “we face it together. No regrets.” “No regrets,” Damien echoed. Serena smiled through fresh tears. “No regrets.” They stepped out of the greenhouse hand in hand — a werewolf, a vampire, and a witch, bound by blood, grief, love, and growing desire. The final descent into the Nexus awaited. As they approached the glowing archway once more, the fusion creature had grown even stronger, now absorbing the bodies of fallen infected around it. It blocked the entrance completely and spoke with a chilling new clarity:

Gunfire exploded as Edmund and the snipers hit the gate guards from a distance. Arrows flew at them but were either shot down or bounced off their armor. Dune’s lips quivered. Leo raised the gun slightly, pressing it against Dune’s toes. His finger pressed on the trigger and he fired a shot. “Holy shi—“ Dune screamed, bucking violently as he fell to the floor, clutching his left feet in his hand. “Good,” Leo said mockingly, his tone clinical. “That’s one. Let’s see how the other fares.” He fired another shot and Dune doubled over again, shrieking. “Ple…uhhh—please,” he whispered as tears rolled down his eyes.

Su Yong and the team were planning to hunt only the smaller ones today. They reached the Sand Hills in just half an hour. The dunes were now filled with dim lights of the aurora in the un explored sky above the horizon. They approached the Sand Hills while Su instructed them to be on their guard. They all masked their presence and crossed the boundaries by foot. The very next moment, a gust of malicious ambiance washed over them. Though they still haven't located a Sand Worm, a threatening aura was lingering in the atmosphere. This alerted them even more. They were forced to inch through the dune with the utmost caution.
