Collateral Damage
The blonde woman in a white dress looks over at us and her red lips stretches into a smile as Robert goes on to greet her husband, whom he seems to be close acquainted with.
“Good day. You are not April,” she say, eyes scanning me up and down.
I clamp my teeth together, although my lips are still pulled into a decent smile. At least I hope it is decent.
“No, I'm not,” I say through clenched teeth.
She chuckles, although there is nothing warm about it.
“I am Amber Walker. Married to Jimmy Walker,” she says pointing to her husband, who owns a large estate in Brussel.
“Jennifer Schultz,” I say simply as I take a seat and look elsewhere, where her face isn't.
