The Death of Me
I feel bruised inside, numb, and empty.
Am I supposed to whisper my goodbye now? It didn't make sense, to say goodbye when he is already gone...none of this makes sense.
My inside is unwilling to acknowledge the finality of death. The fact that I will never be able to look upon his face again or feel his embrace, to see the warmth in his eyes, to witness his beautiful smile, to be surrounded by him.
My eyes dripped with tears. My walls, the walls that held me up, made me strong just... collapse. Moment by moment, they fall. Salty drops fall from my chin, drenching me along with the rain.
