The Tyrant alpha

The Tyrant alpha

I’ve never heard of it. I’m not much of a reader of books. I’m too distractible. When the money started to come in from the farmers’ market, I got into audiobooks, though. The sound doesn’t exactly drown out the pecking voice, but I can kind of focus on the narrator, and it really helps the day go by better.

A Castle of Secrets

A Castle of Secrets

Walking through the doors, I hear the shower running, but the door is closed and music blares from the other side. I pop in my earbuds, hoping to drown out the music with an audio book. I typically prefer reading physical copies myself, but given the circumstances, I would hardly be able to focus on the words. I've read entire books and not remembered a single thing as the words blended together in my mind. Laying back, I hold the bowl of fruit to my chest as words fill my ears, but I’m not paying attention to what they’re saying. Just a string of sounds filling my head in an attempt to drown out the sound of my own thoughts.

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

"All you need to do is swipe up. That unlocks it." "You can open the 'Notes' app here," I continued, tapping the icon. "You just type whatever you want, and press this little speaker icon... right here." I pointed carefully. "It will read your message aloud. If you don't want to use the voice option, you can also just type your message and show it to someone. That works just as well." I look at her as she intently focused on the tab. Her lashes were thick and pale, casting soft shadows over her hollow cheeks. She was really listening.

This is a beautiful story. It goes through the ups and downs of love and shows that just the simple act of showing up at the right time can set your life on a better trajectory. I’d still definitely recommend every reader to brace themselves because your emotions will run rampant, haha ;)

I loved this book and it's characters. I love how there was no unnecessary drama that slowed the pace and didn't make sense like in other stories. And I loved the way that we got to see some of the same scenes from both perspectives. I'd love to read a sequel.

Dangerous Pleasures

Dangerous Pleasures

I'm on the last bookcase just as it's starting to get dark. When I try to pull the books off the bottom shelf, one book seems stuck, but I can't tell why. It's not oversized or wedged into the shelf or anything. I pull hard but it doesn't budge. Bending down I realize it's a fake book that when all the other books have been removed it slides to the side, opening an access panel. Behind the access panel is a combination lock. I jump up, get the other slip of paper and after several tries of left and right combinations I open the lock. Inside is a small device that looks like an IPOD with ear buds attached to it. It has a small LCD screen and a thumb wheel with a button in the middle of it. I

Adrian, I'm afraid you'll have to come with me. The engine noise was deafening. Aside from that, one naughty hand acts arbitrarily. There were numerous rings that made my skin cold when my hand touched the skin of my stomach. ****

The Divorce That Made Me A Billionaire

The Divorce That Made Me A Billionaire

I said suddenly. She blinked once, but it looked too perfect. Too timed too. Elio moved closer with his iPad in hand. He leaned in, scanning her face, then her neck, then behind her ear. He paused. “There’s something here,” he said. He gently lifted a strand of her hair. Clipped behind her ear was a small metal device. It was thin and flat, almost invisible against her skin unless you knew where to look. “It’s a micro-controller,” Elio said. “It could be feeding prompts, voice pacing, posture cues, even emotional timing.”

“No, it’s me. I’m being foolish. Of course you can—” “No,” she cried. I mean, it was incredibly touching that he was willing. But it was the last thing she wanted now that she understood what she’d actually been asking. “I mean, sheesh. Paper books? Who reads those anymore? I bet I could pick this up for 99p as an epub.” He gave a slight shaken laugh. She grabbed her phone and googled. “Well, okay, $11.99 if I pretend I’m American.” “Cole, I don’t mind.”

Silent Rejection

“Tell me about it. Okay?” She pressed her lips and shook her head. “Take your time, baby.” He said softly. “Take your time.” He took his tablet and showed it to her. “I bought this because I think I needed it. Then, I got busy with work and I have a working tablet. I wanted to read novels from here and bring them everywhere but it didn’t happen.” He told her as she giggled. He showed her a lot of novels that he bought through an ebook. She looked happy as she couldn’t wait to start reading.
