The Echo of The Moon
The doors groaned, the frost cracking like a thousand tiny mirrors, and swung inward to reveal a room filled not with books, but with thousands of floating, translucent crystals—the Memory Shards of the Southern Sovereigns.
I walked to the center of the room, my eyes searching for the darkest shard. I found it suspended in a cage of silver wire: the memory of Queen Nyx. As I reached out and touched the crystal, the Archive vanished. I wasn't in the vault anymore; I was standing in a field of white ash, surrounded by the "Hollowed" of a different era. They were singing the same Harvest Song I had heard in the dream-walk, their silver-crystal eyes weeping black ichor.
