POV: Echo Focusing on what I can remember of today, I play through it from the time I wake up until my memories just stop. Unfortunately, I don’t remember anything from the time I set my fork down and leaned back in my seat. Tala sighs and begins to fill the blanks in my memories with her own. I cringe when I hear myself share far, far more than I ever wanted any of them to ever know, and tremble at the sound of the wolves growling. Tala immediately drops the memory and pushes away the memories of various traumatic events before they can take hold again.

Her mind paved the way for different thoughts that made her feel she was a bad person. She closed her eyes and took in a deep, long breath. She released the breath and opened her eyes, motivating herself. “Everything is fine,” She remembered Malachi’s words, and a smile found its way to display on her face. “I am a good person. My smile glitters people’s lives. I should continue to be generous…” She cracked up and suddenly burst into a laughter that lasted for a minute. After she stopped laughing, she wondered what was wrong that would warrant such laughter, but she couldn’t give herself an answer.

Amidst the chirps, wisps, and harsh laughs, some distant voices whirled over his head and got rapidly processed by his brain as if it were these echoes it had been busier in deciphering than the words his friends were uttering. "Oh come on. Don't blabber about anything." I tried to dismiss the conversation. Unbeknownst to the gospel, I didn't know why every time they began to discuss my changes why I enforced changing the topic. Was I afraid of something that my memory was not ready to recall? Or was it so terrific that even nature didn't want me to remember it? Or maybe I tend to shut their mouth so that I could focus on these baffling echoes turning me deaf. The air was still cold, the temperature having dropped significantly due to the Echo Wraith. The Echo Wraith is a haunting presence within the Cavern of Eternal Echoes, a place known for its labyrinthine complexity and the disturbing resonance of every sound. he began trying to calm their nerves. “Her brain was just trying to recall her memories, but her mind was rejecting” he explained but they both stared at him confused. “It's like a feedback mechanism, a negative response” explain further. “Why did it happen after so many years” Jacob asked still worried. “Something must have triggered it, she may have been seeing things that a similar to her memories” he replied. “Daria has no memory here” Jacob said, “we just moved to Romania last year, what could have triggered it” Adi inputted.

Lucian surged at her, but Isabella moved quicker, moving between them. Clara disregarded them both, her fingers going for the stone. The light flashed as her fingertips stroked the surface, a rapid surge of energy pouring through her. Her mind erupted with sights and memories that weren't hers. She spotted Lucian standing with the collectors, his demeanour hard and calculating. She noticed him watching her, his eyes filled with something worse than remorse. And then, she regarded herself as tough, defiant and free. The picture disappeared, and Clara uneven back, down her chest.

"No, Elias. I also have to deal with this. The Keeper's tendrils moved to obstruct her way as it focused on her. "Child, do you believe you are brave?" It mocked. There were shards of memories, some familiar, others unfamiliar, swirling about Zara and Elias. Zara experienced memories of her early years, including triumphant and fearful times. She noticed her parents' features, their joy turning to sadness. Then she muttered, "What is this?" The Keeper's voice echoed, "All truths are contained in the Nexus." "Those you conceal from yourself, too."

The city was alive. Cabs rushed past honking horns, neon lights bathed skyscrapers in color, and laughter poured from rooftop bars into the midnight air. But she didn’t hear any of it. She moved through the crowd like a whisper, like a memory. She wore Alma’s face. But she wasn’t Alma. She wasn’t even Nyx. She was Echo. Lucien’s final creation. His “perfect mirror.” Programmed with every memory Lucien had harvested from Alma’s life, her laughter, her grief, her rage. And rewritten to serve him. Even after his death, his voice lingered in Echo’s mind like a phantom.

"Don't be afraid. I will make her pay." He turned to Marcus, his voice iron. "Go to the isolation ward. Bring me Rebecca." At the sound of that name, my soul jolted violently. Rebecca—my mother. "Since her daughter refuses to show herself," he snarled, "her mother can suffer the consequences." Marcus nodded grimly and left. Ice filled the space where my heart used to be. Three years ago, after Mia and I were murdered, my mother’s mind shattered. She’d wandered the pack lands, a ghost in her own right, manically searching for us and vowing to find our killer.

It was too deep, too absolute, until— Whispers. They drifted around me like cobwebs brushing against my skin. Soft, disjointed fragments that sent shivers racing down my spine. I couldn’t make out the words, couldn’t string them together into something that made sense, but they were circling, overlapping, sinking into my bones. A chorus of half-formed syllables, as though the air itself was trying to speak in a language I wasn’t meant to understand. I held my breath, straining to catch something clear, but the harder I listened, the faster they seemed to scatter, dissolving into static.
