I realized she had a close resemblance to Alex with dirty-blonde hair and eyes like his. Hers were much more like his than Alex’s. Hers were evil, ominous. She looked at me with murder on her face.

Emily sprinted, her breath hitching, but the beast gained speed, its paws thundering against the permafrost. A sleek, black-lacquered carriage pulled up alongside her. The windows were tinted glass, etched with the sigil of the Carter High-Blood. The window slid down. Ryan, her twin, lounged in the velvet interior. Beside him sat Lucas Montgomery, looking bored, his silver eyes tracking the frost on the trees. "Missed the bus again, Em?" Ryan smirked. He looked like a god in his Academy furs, his Essence-Aura glowing a healthy, arrogant gold.

Theron's POV The day of the event was finally here. This is the day I officially put Twilight on the map. Another success to celebrate. Many of my past lovers have been calling nonstop to accompany me to the event but I turned them all down. I don't want any drama tonight so I decided to just go alone.

"Edgar, when I sent you out of the room, I meant for you to follow Ivory." Cullen sounded angry at his new Theta. Edgar had been his personal assistant for a little over a month. "Do you know where she is?" He asked in a calm voice. "Alpha Cullen," Edgar said, quickly. "I did follow her. She was headed to her cabin. I didn't know she was going to run. And no, no one has seen her. I contacted Kyle, and he was checking the cameras around the compound." He took a breath. "And Aaron and Dominic are already tracking her."
