Elizabeth snapped, glaring furiously at Liam. 'What? So Elizabeth knew everything?' Ayleen thought. Liam let out a mocking laugh as Elizabeth reached for Natasha's hair, intending to yank it, but he hurriedly pulled Natasha behind him. "Teaching Natasha a lesson? Have you even looked at yourself lately, Liz?" Liam replied, raising one eyebrow. Watching the argument unfold, Ayleen became even more confused. In her previous life, she had never known that Elizabeth and Liam had been friends since childhood. Neither of them had ever mentioned it to her, not even before she died.

As for the salesgirl, she looked at Chad like she had just seen a ghost. “How old are you, brat? How dare you talk to an adult like that? I am just twenty-seven years old, so how dare you say that I am approaching menopause?” “Oh, I couldn’t tell. Your face is thick with makeup, and I thought that you were trying to hide some hideous lines underneath.” Chad said with a straight face. He shook his head regretfully and continued, “My bad!” The salesgirl felt like she just swallowed a fly. Laila’s laugh had attracted quite a few people, and they were all laughing.

"Hello, I'm Elizabeth Lancaster and I'm a freshman too from business department." Elizabeth introduced herself bowing down politely. "No need to be so formal Elizabeth. How old are you?" Iris asked walking over to Elizabeth with a smile. "I'm 18." "Oh wow you're younger to us then. I'm 19 and so is Anya but she's four months younger than me, and you can call me Iris." She said with a sweet smile which helped in calming Elizabeth's nerves.

Her green eyes were gazing at her with such intensity that Lisa had to look away. "Elizabeth what are you doing here?" Andrea said. While Lisa wondered who was that old woman. "Now I can't even walk around here? No one considers me important enough to introduce me to the future Luna or inform me about the mating ceremony anyway." Beth grumbled and wobbled on her cane. "You are prettier than the last Luna we had. I guess you will do." Beth said dismissively. Lisa was taken aback but thanked her for the compliment anyway. "Lisa this is Elizabeth, she has been with our pack since...I don't know when. She is more than 1500 years old. Don't mind her, the age is catching up." Andrea said.

And that reminded her of her birthday tomorrow. Tomorrow would be no ordinary birthday because it will be her debut. Excitement swam in her blood and a smile crept on her mouth. She had always wanted to have a life of her own especially one where she called the shots. Independence was her one and only wish since she figured that she could survive single-handedly. An intrusion of Aunt Caroline’s image inside her head instantly burst Ellaine’s bubble. But of course, her aunt was constantly there which reminded her that her debut wouldn’t even provide her independence. Maybe it became more of a reason why Ellaine had wished to be free.

In the evening before being called to eat lunch, I was with Elizabeth in the workout room. She was really a nice girl judging from how friendly she was. She told me stories about her life and how both she and Nicholas would play around the streets with some of the kids from their neighborhood. She was fifteen years old, about clocking sixteen. And she resembled Nicholas, though not much. She was more like her father than her mother, and since they weren't sharing the same biological father their resembles wasn't that much.
