Alice wasn’t sure if she could easily adjust to not having a child running around, but she has no choice. She continued staring at the drawing and couldn’t help but notice the small details in it. All the four leaves have a small smiley face each and an actual note at the bottom right of the huge "GOOD LUCK" just below the actual drawing. The note says, "Be safe always" and "Thank you, sister." Alice could tell that the kid has a good future in art-related industries, maybe fashion as well.

The inevitable destruction it would cause was fun to try to put on paper. Sometimes I would see a storm raging in my mind and I could barely draw fast enough to get all the details on the page

He quietly got up and returned with a sketch pad and pencil, when had he even grabbed those? and gently placed them in my hands. “I’ve seen the way your eyes light up when you talk about the little things you enjoy,” he said. “I want to see that again.” A warm, painful flutter filled my chest.

Max asked, his hands busy hugging a large box of new drawing supplies. "What, baby?" I asked, knowing he wouldn't wait for my answer before continuing. Eric agreed and said good colored pencils always make for a good drawing.
