The scent of home hit her before the town came into view—pine sap, river wind, and the undercurrent of wolves. Real wolves. Not the disguised dominance of a classroom or the puffed-up growls of immature Alphas at the university. This was pack air. And Elara Grey breathed it in with a giddy smile as her boots crunched the gravel of the old road leading to her family’s modest cottage. She hadn’t been home in six moons. Six whole moons since she last saw the forest she was born in. Or her parents. Or them—the Alpha and his Luna. Gods, especially him.

She reached up to a huge leaf shaped like an elephant’s ear, pulling the tip down towards her face and letting all the water that had collected on its concave surface pour into her open mouth. “Paisley you’re a genius!” Ryder exclaimed, running over to another leaf and mimicking her actions. Parker and Riley followed suit, and before long all four pups were running from leaf to leaf, drinking up as much rainwater as they could. The torrential storm continued to douse the earth in fresh water, and before long the ground was drenched and inches deep in rich black mud.

Mel and Kasey are only half sober. It was already morning when we decided to go home. Cameron carried Clark, the guy can’t even stand up on his own. Mel was helping Landon, since they’re both small. I grabbed his neck and flung him, making him hit a near by tree. The forest split the tree and it came crashing down but he was able to get out of the way in time. "You little trickster," he said menacingly as he got to his feet shaking his fur and growling. I stared at him through my grey slits. And suddenly his eyes turned a misty blue. I was stunned and then, he disappeared.

The Enforcer, a she-wolf with kind eyes, seemed to understand. She didn’t press, just sat nearby, a silent vigil. The waiting was an eternity. Finally, an Elder Healer entered, carrying a bowl of moonlit water and silver dust—the tools of the Blood Trace. His expression was solemn. “The blood sings true,” he announced to the hall. “The pup is of Luna Lily’s direct line. A female, born under the Frost Moon, one year past. A forced moon-tide birth.”

Suddenly, footsteps approached, and she swiftly rushed back to the bed, hiding the phone beneath the pillow. The Boss entered the room without knocking, standing silently at the entrance, locking eyes with Elena. "Puppy," he coldly smirked, advancing further. His eyes were on her, adorning her beauty. He moved directly towards Elena, who sat on the bed, her heart pounding so fiercely it felt like her ribs might crack. She clenched her legs together, praying fervently for the police to arrive soon.

THIRD PERSON'S POV:- As planned, Landon and Charlie went to the small house Landon had bought for Berry's family. Charlie sniffed around and it did not take him long to catch their scents. They caught the scents with the toys the twin boys had. According to plan, Phantom, Charlie and Landon helped them pack up. Once they were all packed up, Phantom took them and started their journey towards Charlie's pack. As everyone was gone, Charlie let his wolf take over his body. Charlie's wolf leashed out and he sniffed the toy again.

Reya's POV. With its golden floors reflecting the morning sunlight, the Mooncrest estate was a sight to behold. While I was asleep, my twin puppies named Pearl and Luis burst out into the living daylight, chasing each other around the room. The energy they had was infectious, but today, it felt even more intense. As I walked into the training area, I saw the twins in the center with a group of curious individuals surrounding them. With gleaming eyes, Pearl's hands flickered with a faint electric spark. And the crowd roared and whispers of fear and wonder permeated.

Elias raised his arm covered in steel to support it. Unexpectedly, one jumped behind Lily, it opened its mouth full of long, pointed fangs, drooling at Lily. She screamed in despair, reaching out her right hand towards the beast. Suddenly, a beam of light from the red crescent-shaped birthmark in the center of Lily's right palm hit the beast. Both animals were immediately drawn to the roadside stand of two stone statues. Neither Lily nor Elias understood what was happening. Lily's body seemed to exude that power, so she lost her strength and fainted. Elias whirled around, taking her in his big palm.
