The Hunter and the Vampire

The Hunter and the Vampire

That was not the behaviour of a man who had just admitted to a known hunter that he was, in fact, one of the very creatures she was hunting. Then again – did he know that I was a hunter? I had assumed so, based on his behaviour, but I had no solid proof either way. Just as I’d decided he was most likely a hunter, with nothing but very weak evidence to support my theory, I’d also settled on the idea that he knew I was one. A decision that had, on both counts, taken place entirely within my own head. Rather than leap up and dig out my blade, as I very much wanted to, I forced myself to remain in my chair. I crossed one leg over the other again: the face of nonchalance.

I mean, you get the point. “So,” I said, clapping my hands together once, buying myself half a second. “Darwin’s theory of evolution is based on natural selection—the idea that organisms with traits better suited to their environment are more likely to survive and reproduce.” Mr. Healy crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed. “Go on.” “Those advantageous traits get passed down over generations, while less favorable traits become less common,” I continued smoothly. “Over time, this leads to changes in populations—evolution—not because organisms want to change, but because survival demands it.”

Blood Lust A Vampire Clan Series

Blood Lust A Vampire Clan Series

She was strangely comfortable resting flat against my lifeless body, not allowing an inch of space between us. "Centuries ago, hunters were created by witches when our kind slaughtered humans and we thrived among them. There were too many of us, mostly younglings, savage young vampires lusting for human blood, greedily taking human lives until they were forced to live in fear. That was when the witches created hunters, they were hybrid humans who feared nothing, they're stronger than most humans and well equipped with weapons and knowledge on how to kill vampires." I stopped to kiss the top of her head, just because I couldn't help myself. Tessa smiled and silently urged me to continue.

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

The Hunter Organization. A mysterious entity that Mr. Aikens, Mane’s teacher back at the Wielder Academy, had refused to speak on. Although they had built and nurtured Wielder Academies all over the planet of Zandor, very little was known about those who were the true backbone of this institution. All that the commonfolk knew was that it was comprised of individuals called hunters who farmed and killed dangerous creatures and sold them to wealthy merchants for processing. There were rumours that they were also in charge of protecting the world, but when Zandor had been invaded, they disappeared. This made people realize that it was this was a baseless rumour.

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

You Can Ask The Flowers

You Can Ask The Flowers

"Consciousness developed through competition because competition works. Predators survive, prey dies, and the universe grows stronger through the elimination of weakness." Through their separation, Iris could feel Damien's ancient struggle reasserting itself with cosmic intensity. His maker's arguments carried the weight of eons of evidence. Throughout history, cooperation had been fragile while predation proved endlessly adaptable. The gentle approaches they were trying to nurture might be morally superior, but were they actually sustainable when faced with beings who chose conscious cruelty over unconscious need? "She's not wrong about the vulnerability," Iris found herself admitting, her

She explained as the other professor removed the remaining leads from Cody before walking towards Helen who was getting off the other bike. “As we’ve discussed before, most pack and herd animals are matriarchal. So much so, that when a male reached maturity, they were kicked out.” Clicking her laptop, a mural of Neanderthal hunters appeared on the screens. “They would be allowed back in when they brought food, and to procreate. Anybody else see a trend?” “Hunting parties.” The hunter offered smugly.

traced back to this day. They peacefully co-existed with all the other Species that lived in and around their valley for centuries, and then the humans evolved. Sadly Werewolves do not reproduce as quickly as the human race, none of the Immortal Species did and as the centuries passed their number dwindled alarmingly. The Council of Immortals decided the only way to counteract this was to breed with the humans, so they took human females, without permission, raiding the villages and dragging the ones they chose from the arms of their parents, boyfriends or husbands. Humans learn quickly, they knew the Immortals were stronger, faster and more intelligent so the

I am stunned that my mouth is open. I blink, grabbing myself again. "Wow. This...is...it's crazy." I am totally dumbfounded. He continues, "as a Hunter, the more we grow, the more we can fight against these opposing species. At the point of the evolution for Hunters, a very trained one can kill either a Vampire or a Werewolf with bare hands." He states. To be honest, the way he says it doesn't actually make it seems like he is boasting or something.

“Yes. No one offered to give him CPR. Esme had passed out. She doesn’t know.” “Fuck.” “Jake, evolution is a powerful force that drives a species’ survival, but also has checks and balances to ensure there isn’t overpopulation of any species. Prey/predator relationships exist as a mechanism to keep that balance.” “Hunters have a genetic predisposition to prey on enhanced species.” “Correct.” “Sebastian was a hunter. Esme instinctively knew the threat he posed to her and Adam.” “Yes. Hunters have preyed on witches the most since we are easier prey. Shifters are not excluded from their list.”

Claimed By The Vampire King

He was like a green actor rushing through the lines he’d crammed before he could forget. I laughed to myself as it finally clicked. It would seem that the baby hunter is trying to use Joanne’s affections against her. Such an action does not fit in with the hunter’s personality, but it definitely fit in with the mode of operation of his ancestors. They’d do a lot more than that actually. For example, bedding Joanne wouldn’t be above them, even marrying her, if it ensured they accomplished their goals. More than one hunter has found themselves in the shackles of matrimony for that very reason. My blood boiled, anger surging within me at the thought of the hunter manipulating my wildcat in such
