And roared.
The sound crashed over me like a physical wave—deep, guttural, primal—shaking the trees and the very ground beneath my feet. It rolled through every inch of my body, vibrating down my spine and settling low in my belly with a terrifying, heated pulse I refused to name. My vision blurred at the edges. My knees buckled.
