Ezra: Now, to think that I would have found my wife’s anger sexy would be an understatement. The woman looked far more attractive than she ever had as she glared at Maddie, or should I say, Andromeda, as she waited for her to respond. However, the demon didn’t bother to open her mouth to explain anything, and instead, she stayed completely quiet, eyeing my wife as if she had grown a second head or more specifically, may have lost her head. In truth, even I wasn’t sure my wife knew the consequences of challenging a demon the way she did, but that made this a whole lot more attractive, at least, in my eyes.

Her red hair was growing pale and dull – almost as grey as her skin. “Beta Roger, who is this girl?” “It’s ironic that her name is Angel when that Demon-hybrid showed her to her doom. Now she will be an angel of Hell or not even that. As you know, the souls of those who die consumed by dark magic are forever lost. She won’t ever make it to heaven or hell,” he said casually, his eyes still fixed on his phone. So that was what Elijah was: a Demon-hybrid. Yet our Alpha did his bidding. My face fell, “But who are the others?” “There are three. You can save them all, but there will be a price.” I sighed, holding my head in my hands. “Who are they?” “My son will help you, he is a healer, as I am.” “Who are you?” The angel’s face lit up, a bright smile adorning his attractive features. The angel took his glasses off, revealing light-colored eyes. My mouth fell open, “I am the Arch Angel Raphael, but in my human form, you can call me Azarias, Az for short.”

He quickly masked his expression, but I knew he felt it too. "What are you doing here?" Zayn demanded, stepping back from me and shielding me from Ezekiel's view. "I came to see the miracle for myself," Ezekiel said, glancing at the naked Omegas on the floor. "But looking at this... the sky is still dark over this mountain, and you still have that disgusting hunger. I don't think anything has changed." Ezekiel ignored Zayn’s murderous glare and walked straight toward me. He took off his own fur-lined coat and wrapped it gently around my shivering shoulders.

"You may leave," he said smoothly, dismissing them with a flick of his hand. They bowed, relief flooding their faces, and hurried out. The doors closed shut, and the chamber was left in silence. At Heaven Far above, Zadkiel, accompanied by Wrath and his lover Jophiel, arrived amidst the devastation of Heaven itself. The once-pristine spires and radiant gardens were scorched, broken, and trembling under the assault of fallen angels. The celestial light that usually bathed the realm was dimmed by smoke, void, and chaos, and the sound of clashing divine power echoed across the clouds.

I ask and turn to Ezekiel. "That sounds like Delilah."

Then suddenly, he burst into laughter, bending forward as he laughed uncontrollably. “This is too good.” He wiped tears from the corners of his eyes. “But you’re wrong. She’s not your woman.” He took a pause before spelling it out, “She’s your enemy.” My breathing hitched. Pain shot through the severed fingers on my left hand, spreading through my entire body.
