Face A Book Novels & Stories

He took the seat beside me shaking his head. “It appears as though I’m dreaming” he said, smiling at me, “So, what is this book about?” “Know it for yourself” I said. He smiled at me opening the book. I started to read mine. At some point, I felt his eyes on me. I looked up to find him staring at my face. I stealthily looked back at the book, waiting for him to turn away, he didn't even seem to breathe. Without lifting my head up from my book I caught his chin on my right hand and directed it towards the book that was laid open on his hand.

She had to be careful with it in case the pages shattered on contact with her skin. She set the book down carefully on the floor and wiped the dust from the front. Immediately, she jumped in shock. There, on the cover, was the same image she’d seen on her grandma’s leather box, and in the Voynich manuscript. Only this time the strange face on the front of the book wasn’t so surreal—it was as clear as day. It was an image of Scarlet’s face.

I look at my friend’s worried face then smile. Mera stops and I walk closer to her; I hold Mera’s cold face then give her a pat on her cheek. “I’ll be fine. Now assist me with my presentation please because I won’t let them look down on me just like that. Did they think that by doing that stupid thing to me they can take me back down just like that and I will cower in fear… huh they better think again” I said as my eyes burn in pure rage as I give Mera the clear books and Mera just take a deep breath before taking it in her hand.

"Ooh, harsh." Brian rolled his eyes and sighed. He hurried his steps and turn to the next isle. He came face to face with a sleeping figure. A man was tiptoeing next to the sleeping student. "Oh, shit. Why can't I grow five inches more right this moment? This fucking book—" The girl woke up with a start. She looked at him. "What the everlasting fuck are you chattering about, you sick—" The book that the guy was trying to get stumbled out of his grasp. The shock in the guy's face turned into horror. The hardbound book clashed with the girl's face.

I stared at the diary. Should I continue reading today? I don’t have any schedule or anything to do anyway. Picking the book, I was about to sit down when my room’s door burst open, I turned around to see but something pinned me to the ground as the book fell in my face. Shit. That hurts. A phone falling in your nose already hurts like hell. What about a book? Probably hurts like tartarus? I groaned as I removed the book in my face.

Our best bet would be if the sprinklers in response to the fire alarm would do their job properly . I was so concerned about the books catching fire that I didn't even process the fact that there was a fucking flame in her palm ! It wasn't burning her , it was just whirling around , bright red and orange colours playing with each other in fury . I should interrupt . I grab a book from the cart and stand a good 2 feet away from the men . I close one eye and position the book in front of me with my hand to make an aim . Perfect . I hurl the book as fast as I can and hear a groan in response .

We finished our noodles and went to take the next lecture. After college, I went to the library to find a book. The library of the college is huge. Nobody was in the library when I reached there, even the librarian was not there at that time. I didn't wait for her and went to find my book. Now I've been finding that book for a few minutes on the bookshelf. I'm standing in the middle of two rows of bookshelves. As I took out one book, I gaped, seeing professor Zain. He's standing at the other side of the bookshelf. I can only see his face. His black bewitching eyes are gazing at me intensely. I don't know why my breath is becoming heavy and why my heartbeat accelerating.

Standing up from the bed, I dragged my feet to the bookshelf and picked out a history book from there before going to sit on the bed. Opening the book, I almost screamed my lungs out at the image I was welcomed by. There were pictures of wild animals and some were humans with dangerous and scary faces, some had long teeth in their mouths, while some of them had some part of their eyes painted bloodred. I gulped down the lump in my throat, as I flipped the book page by page, checking out the images which getting scarier.

FAST FORWARD TO HOURS LATER Walking through the library while searching for a particular book, I borrowed it after doing the needful at the librarian place, I make my way to the school caring if I could see something to eat which I saw some dishes my money could buy. While heading back to the window seat which I have sighted, I could feel everyone glance on me as I settled down to start eating. The publicity I needed, I thought smirking while I settle down to start eating only to feel a presence before me. Looking up, I came face to face with the two face devil who has her arm warped together under her bust staring down at me with an innocent look. "What do you want?" I quietly asked wanting
