Fafnir Norse Mythology Novels & Stories

Leo chuckled at me I again got lost in my phone while we drove. I was searching g****e for things about Fenris or should I say Fenrir. All the searches and results said he’s bound until Ragnarok. Which to me made no sense since he was quite literally here on earth, the fact that all of these people or should I say Gods were alive and among us made me shiver and goosebumps appear on my arms.

Yet, a flicker of curiosity burned within me, an insatiable thirst for the truth that transcended my apprehension. As the seconds stretched into an eternity, he drew in a steadying breath, his gaze fixed on a distant point as if seeking strength from the very horizon. And then, with a measured resolve, his lips parted to release the syllables that held a power both feared and revered: "Fenrir."

They devour it before anyone notices. Across the table, Loviatar leans toward Hel—the Norse goddess of death—and starts speaking in the god’s tongue. They think I don’t understand. They’re wrong. I whisper an incantation. The words twist in the air and slide into meaning. “Have they gotten everyone in your pantheon into the cells?” Loviatar asks, her voice a dry rasp. “Nearly,” Hel replies. “My father, Loki, hid Fenrir, Narfi, and Vali. That might complicate things. Then again, Father usually only looks out for himself.”

I’ll even help you deal with any of them. “And how would I know you won’t back stab me?” “The same way I know you won’t. It’s not your reputation. Look up Black Dogs. You know of them?” “Order of mercenaries.” “Bingo,” the man said. “Asked them about Vanargand.” “I see.” “You heard of the name?” “It’s another name for Fenrir, monster-wolf of Norse mythology.” “I thought using Fenrir could be copyright infringement, or just piss the guy off.” “That would be unwise.”

As always, she was absolutely savage with her attacks, and tore the man to pieces. The wolf made sure to eat at least some part of her kills, even if said part was encased in titanium armor. Once ze was satisfied, Lucifer walked up to the main terminal, plopped down on the terminal’s seat, cracked hir bloody knuckles, then dug into the code. “There’s also the wolf Fenrir,” Lucifer continued, even as ze opened up a secure communications line. “Who, according to myth, will one day devour the sun at the time of Ragnarok and kill Odin, the god-king.”

So he grins wider, once again baring his set of bloodstained teeth, his fangs rough and crooked, a testament of his long history—and also long list of victims. “How disappointing to see you fighting for the wrong side,” he coldly says. “Fenrir Fauntleroy, mad dog of the House of the Wolves, are you making up for the shortcomings of your younger brother?” Fenrir lets out a derisory snarl. He ought to shift so he can talk back and put the cocky mage in his place, but he did not have the luxury to put his guard down. Soren notices it and smirks. “Apologies, I forgot wolves are only capable of barking. . .but you’re barking at the wrong tree. Get it?”

Then I heard it the hissing chant off in the distance (what did it mean). Skoll is the name of the wolf Who follows the shining priest Into the desolate forest, And the other is Hati, Hrodvitnir's son, Who chases the bright bride of the sky. "They are the two wolves from norse mythology one who chases the sun and the other one who chases the moon, ragnarok starts after one eats the sun and the other eats the moon and the world serpent eats Thor and Fenrir will swallow Odin" Lagertha tells me

Didn't he want clarity? “Three things in fact. One, I need your blood. Then a hair strand from the center of your cranium, and last, moisture from your orbs..” Namilla prepared her tools, staring at Fenrir expectantly. “I believe all day is something I don't have.” Namilla narrowed her eyes on him so I nudged him, urging him to do as she ordered. A low growl escaped his lips as he drew closer to her old desk filled with relics and left opened scrolls.
