I pushed past the pain as I was determined to kill Stefan right here and now. I looked down to see Charles had reverted back to his human form. He was laying on the ground unconscious and completely vulnerable. I bit down as hard as I could and I felt the pop in my mouth as his head exploded in my mouth. I quickly spit him and his blood out. I nuzzled Charles who was still unmoving.

I bursted out laughing so much, “Of course, he must have seen you and liked you that's the only reason he's trying to get close to you” “Trust me when I say this, even if I like Charles it's never going to work out between us” “But why will you say that?” “Cause Charles doesn't like girl” I smiled, “Wait, he's gay?” “Hmmm, so you don't have to worry about him, besides it's not a bad thing dating someone like Charles he's so sweet”

The body dropped to the ground dead, leaving only a long, shimmering spear of light. Silence descended, broken only by my ragged gasps for breath. Slowly, I turned towards the source of the spear, a sliver of hope blossoming in my chest. There, standing amidst a plume of dissipating magical energy and dust was Charles, his face grim, his eyes blazing with a fury I had never seen before. He darted forward, coating me in a blanket of shimmering light as he passed.

There wasn't much I could say about it anymore, at that point. When I finally returned home, it was past midnight. Rubbing my temples tiredly, I reached for my keys, only to notice someone standing under the streetlight in front of my villa. It was Charles. He wore a short-sleeved shirt, washed so many times it'd already gone white with bleach, along with work pants streaked with dirt, likely from a construction site. In the time we'd been apart, he'd become much thinner, his skin becoming dark and coarse from labor.

Charlie snickered from the other end of the line as he said in a mocking tone, “You don’t need to look for him anymore. He is already under my control now.” Charlie’s words made Cadfan’s heart skip a beat, and his cell phone nearly fell to the ground because he almost lost his firm grip on it. A moment later, Cadfan forced himself to calm down before he asked tentatively, “You… who the hell are you?!” Charlie laughed and said, “Lord Schulz, you’ve gone through so much trouble and sent so many people to come to Aurous Hill to look for my whereabouts. I’m really flattered. So, that is the reason why I decided to take the initiative to call you and say hello to you.”

I walked swiftly into the main school building, classmates that were busy punishing students suddenly picked interest in staring at me. Then my phone rung, my ring tone blaring out.. ' I know you don't like me, you wanna fight me, don't want no problems at you party don't invite m— ' It was the unknown number, again so I picked it to find out who the person is. "Hello." I said pausing a little, the eyes on me suddenly increased so I decided to go to class. "Hii, I'm Charles." The voice said, Charles who? People are fuckin' crazy!

The deep voice left my lips, I looked into Charles's eyes, and he bowed to me. Xander and Charles both shifted. My mother ran to Xanders side. "YOU WILL CALL OF YOUR MEN, ARE I WILL END THEM ALL." Charles laughed, "I can't do that. I don't control them." I shook my head, "TSK, TSK, TSK. WRONG ANSWER." Just as I opened my mouth to speak, Charles attacked Xander. Someone pulled me by the ankle and pulled down, and I should have floated higher. One of Charles's men jumps on my body once I was down. The man was not heavy by any means, and you would think Charles would feed his people more food.

I slid down to my knees and rested my head on them, what do I do now? Helen, mind telling me why we couldn’t take that? He doesn’t want to be with me, clearly. I knew it the moment I smelled him Charlee, he is our rider. Fuck me.

"He picked me specifically? Can't you switch me with someone else?" "No! There is no way that I would be able to do that. You know a lot about the project, and you are to fix them yourself.
