Only this time, when the sky turns black and the rogues approach, there are five of them. Foster and Sirus are with them. This time, when young Maria runs off, I stay where I am and watch. I watch as the rogues overpower her and bite into her fur. I watch as they snicker over her as she takes her final breath. I watch as the light in her eyes fades.
